Israel proves once again they are the civilized ones in an uncivilized conflict. Brave steps by the Israeli Government, possibly foolish, but brave still. I wonder if there will ever be an Israeli meter reader in a predominately Arab country. Not a living one that's for sure...

JERUSALEM - Israel was on the verge of installing the first Muslim Cabinet minister in its 58-year history Monday after the government overwhelmingly approved the appointment.

Parliament was scheduled to convene to give final approval to Raleb Majadele's appointment, which the government billed as a step toward equality for Muslim Arabs, Israel's largest minority.

It is little known, but a fact that Muslims are elected into and serve in Israeli Knesset. They are Israeli Arabs whom enjoy benefits of living in democratic state, likes of which are none other in Middle East. These people not Palestinians, and they not wage war against Israel.
