You guys have taken a page from Danr here...No offense Danr, but trying to tie this tragedy to Muslims is about as silly and self-serving as it gets. I know certain members here can't think about anything else and turn every thread into Muslim bashing diatribes but geez! This guy was just a crazed suicidal gunman with no Islamic agenda whatsoever but you somehow see the boogie-Muslim everywhere.

At what point does Rush Limbaugh show fuzzy videos of Cho at an Al Qaeda training camp while on springbreak?
When does the pentagon release secret tapes of wire tapped conversations of Cho with known Al Qaeda terrorists? Cho wasn't the only nut in this world that's for sure.

 

Maybe your right Moen. Like I said before, in a massacre like this, one wouldn't be surprised if the perpetrator were a Jihadist, it's just that, I was surprised he wasn't...

The similarities to Columbine are the greatest. Cho clearly had severe well-documented mental health issues. We as a society can not prevent someoone with mental health problems from going off if that is what they decide to do. I don't think this is about guns verses no guns, it's more about living in a society that glorifies violence, guns, and pushings the fear button too much until people that do live near the edge snap and take those societal messages as a means to end their pain. We should probably just get used to it.

 

You on the right track in that those Columbine students were influenced, didn't they attack on hitler's birthday. wasn't there found to be in their home procession nazi coins, nazi flags, and nazi type websites on their computer. The boys at Columbine were manic depressives and I believe were labeded emotional distrubed with arrest records. This guy had a history of mental illness, displayed manic behaviors from what was discribed, attacked on holocaust memorial day, used an islamic phase as a tag on his arm and return postage, and made a sucide bomber type video.

One does not have to be a true nazi or a muslim jihadist to be influenced by the hate or see a path to glory, both have a repesentation of power, in that evil.
