    2 points.
1st: The "Good Enough" concept is spot on, unfortunately the libs believe it is their duty to determine for us what is "good enough". Right, tomc?

2nd: Society has de-generated to the point that many believe the material possessions, cars, homes, etc are "rights" that the government should help them acquire & not things to achieve (if they desire them).

Wrong on both counts. Why is it the libs? I'd agree if it was tghe government..both sides of the aisle. And you and your kind are the ones who believe the country has degenerated. I thinks it just needs guidance. I think this country is as strong as ever. Its just in a slump. You can knock it all you want. But if you really believe that, dont forget, youre part of this society too.

Given your attitude and hatred of corporate America, it seems impossible that you could be employed anywhere without union protection. The only other option is some kind of self contractor or employee of a small business.

I can do what I need to do to support my family Lehigh. That includes keeping my mouth shut and simply doing my job because I have to. This forum however doesn't impose the same limitations and gives me someplace where I CAN express my views, and it makes me feel better too. In the mean time I pray that God will show these folks I refer to, the same disregard of them that they have shown their fellow man and send the *******s to hell where they belong.

The fact that you have the emotional control to keep your mouth shut at work about your true feelings both angers me and greatly increases the respect that I have for you. It angers me because I don't have that same emotional control. I have a problem with authority and the fact that I can't hide it has stunted my career growth for years. Kudos to you Tom for having the right priorities in life. Although, that does explain why you are so fanatical on these forums, repressed emotion me thinks.

Unfortunately David, the corporations and the super wealthy don't believe in "good enough"...only MORE...and normally at the expense of someone else. I know morality isn't your thing, and I'm certainly no master of it, but it'd be nice to have some general moral guidelines and some accountability on occasion, something that "business" generally doesn't allow. The sky is the limit, no matter how you get there or who you kill in the process. So long as you can get MORE. That's corporate America. We're such a great example to the rest of the world to dictate that they should adopt our idealogy, even if we have to do it with force. Right Davey?

Trust me, I have little ability to hide my demeanor from my workplace "acquaintances". I just try to keep my mouth shut and scream loudly in my car, after I get out of hearing distance. I don't have any great emotional control Lehigh. I've had a lot of "lessons" in life thus far that I try to learn from, having learned some the absolute hard way. Trust me on that one. It's an ongoing thing that I have great difficulty with, but the alternative is to be unemployed. My son and my wife would pay the price for my actions. I try to keep that in perspective. I will admit that it's getting more and more difficult every day. In the meantime, this forum helps.:D

By the way...I do like the idea of a union, the idea of the corporate rapists having a little less control me and a little more accountability on the employers side. That's not what actually happens with unions, but it's a nice idea.

Please define "good enough" for us.

    I guess this explains ALOT!
If you are so miserable why don't you get another job? Obviously you aren't raking in much money where you are now (as you seem to despise eveyone who is happy with their job & doing okay)...how hard can your current job be to replace?

I kind of agree. I didn't mean the country as a whole has de-generated simply that society has. By that I mean we are moving towards a nanny state with the govn't either directly or indirectly calling the shots on everything...and many people seem to be okay with it!
Society needs to wake up so that the country doesn't suffer irrepairable damage & can emerge from this "slump" (calling it a slump is what I can agree with).
I also agree that I am part of this society so I (and I know this is where we differ) feel it is my responsibility to speak up when I see us heading for trouble.

Gads man. You dont mean the country, you mean society? Yea I guess this country would be better off without society. (See I used the same pretzel logic that you impose to clarify your posts). And from your post before last; its all about money with you. Such a shame. I havent heard that guy complain about his finances ever.

Not as tough as an inventory control specialist in charge of napkins would be.

    Huh?
Are you in charge of napkins somewhere or am I missing some juvenile joke you're trying to make?
