The term Al-Qaeda is almost like using the term "mafia".

There are sooooooo many groups of islamic jihadists (i.e., Hamas, Hellzbullah, Therik-e-Jakra, etc.) that would love nothing more than to see Jews and Christians converted, taxed, enslaved and/or KILLED!! Al-Qaeda gets the most press because they are lead by Bin Laden and to date, have committed the biggest jihad attacks, but make no mistake, they are just ONE of many islamic radical groups...just ONE of MANY!

The question I would ask is..."Do you think the citizens of Western cultures will have the patience and WILL to fight this long war against all islamic terror groups?"

I ask that because in today's USA Today front page (1A), there is a picture of islamic CHILDREN waving pictures of their terrorist leader Hassan Nasrallah (lead Hezbollah terrorist) yelling "Death to Israel and America!".

Now these are CHILDREN who represent the next generation of islamic terrorists that we must KILL! These people are taught to hate before they can walk and guess what folks? We will be fighting these animals for a long time after we all depart this Earth.

Face it, when islamic aniamls are breeding a whole generation of sick puppies that learn to HATE and KILL first before they do anything else (like playing with toys)...well guess what? We are going to have to eliminate them before they go after us.

I have NO doubt in my mind these islamic groups will succeed in another terrorist attack...it's what they do and live/die for!!

So...YES! ALL of these groups are STILL and WILL BE a threat!

Drunk drivers are accidents waiting to happen there is nothing accidental about someone who is going out of there way to kill you. We have had this discussion before Danr so again I will ask you how many drunk drivers go out with the express purpose of commiting murder? then tell me what the policy of a terrorist is?
Please do not refer me to any other site just respond in your own words.

    Just let him go...

He is still living in the year 2000 and has not offered any fact and logic to these arguments. Take my advice and just put him on your ignore list (list of one for me). You can't have a logical debate with the village idiot which is no differant than trying to appease an islamic jihadist.

Natural selection will deal with him in due time.

Yes, perhaps Islam is breeding its next generation of terrorists. Perhaps these children that you see on the front page of the paper will end up possibly committing another terrorist attack. What would suggest we do? Kill them? Wipe them off the face of the planet for crimes they have yet to commit?

The question that I am posed to ask is how far are we going to let our fear take us? I understand that in these times we are at constant risk of attack because of our beliefs and our way of life. However, our way of life has always promoted freedom of choice and democracy. Are we going to allow our fear to transform us into the thing that we hate and fear the most, the aggressor?

I agree with you that these groups are still a threat, but taking more and more aggressive action will only continue to fuel the hate that Islam and the Middle East has for us. The fact of the matter is, unless we turn a complete 180 and become willing to participate in a massive genocide of the Islamic religion and culture (which is the only option if you want to completely end the Islamic terrorist attacks); small militaristic action will only continue to cause these terrorist groups to want to attack us.

Perhaps its time that we rethink our strategy, pull out, and hope that in time we can reeducate the Islamic people. I admit that this probably won’t work. It is however better than sacrificing what our society represents and trading it in for what our enemies represent.

These are my own thoughts; I am in no way attacking what others believe. I’m not posting this to make anyone angry.

    Thanks

History shows that bombing a country into submission works wonders for keeping the peace for years to come i.e: Japan and Germany. By bombing them into submission did we cause them to hate us more?

If you think we, the U.S., is capable of becoming the agressor and on the same level as these animals then how can you diferentiate between good and evil? The U.S. stands for freedom while the terrorists stand for hate. Please don't try to compare the U.S. to these cowards.

I am for turning a complete 180 and carpet bombing that region into submission. Turning a blind eye and hoping they will stop attacking is foolish. We know that negotiating with these types will go nowhere and waste valuable time.

That is exactly what the terrorists want us to do to prove that we don't have the stomach for this mission. If you think it won't work then why would you suggest it? How are we sacrificing what our society represents and trading it for what our enemies represent? So, you think the U.S. is equal to our enemy? Is that what you said?

How old are you Strawberry Leaf? Because by the sounds of your post you have to be under 20 and do not know much about war and peace or what the U.S. stands for.

the scale of the problem is absurdly small. That was my point. There are more people who die in fishing accidents than terrorists. IT IS A NON PROBLEM

I like reading PRWE. :goofer: While reading the "left" point of view, I gain an appreciation for the satiric and dramatic theatre, interpreted as reality, being viewed through their misguided eyes.

Your very right, history does show that bombing a country into submission does work. However, we are not at war with any one country, we are at war with a religion, a complete different standard from World War II. World War II, the last officially declared war by Congress, was a completely different military campaign then what we are fighting now. Also, after the war was over, we spent millions of dollars through the Marshall plan to rebuild both of these nations and the rest of Europe, effectively modernizing it and helping to create a stable economy in Europe that ended up benefiting American, Japan, and Europe. After war then, we also placed major restrictions on the size of the Army that these two nations can hold. Only until recently have we begun to let up on these restrictions. This could have something to do with as to why they did not come after us again. Even if we were to bomb Iraq into submission, do you really believe that Al-Qaeda and other terrorist organizations who are not directly affiliated with any one country in particular are going to abide by these types of restrictions? That's wishful thinking...

Terrorists make up a very small percentage of those in the Middle East. Yes, perhaps Syria, Iran, and Iraq are all potential threats. But also keep this in mind; their countries have yet to attack us. Terrorist groups do not necessarily represent the entire country. And on that note...

    Followed by...

Next, you move to lecture me on my sense of good and evil, and then proceed to follow it up by saying that you are for carpet bombing an entire region of not only some terrorists, but an area populated by innocent women and children as well? Keep in mind that these people are as innocent as those who have been attacked by terrorists in both our countries and countries around the world. Some do harbor terrorists, but the vast majority does not. Your right, my sense of good and evil must be off if I'm not willing to sacrifice large amounts of innocent lives...

I merely suggest it because right now, the world will not permit us to "carpet bomb" or perform genocide on a complete region. Most people around the world would consider that inhumane... which leaves us fighting a war that we cannot win. As long as we continue to fight a limited war such as we are now where we cannot use complete force to pound our opposition into submission because we are not technically at war with any country, terrorists within these countries will continue to have the upper hand. They are fighting a war of attrition and hoping that in time we will pull out. They have the hate and passion to drag out this war for years, and history has shown us that the aggressor more often times then not will grow tired and be forced to pull out.

A prime Example of this: Vietnam. Sure, this is a different war because it was against a country. But the Vietcong were in essence terrorists. In Vietnam we were limited to bombing only military bases and supply lines. The Vietcong of the North, who were very determined in reuniting Vietnam under one rule, were willing to fight the war decades if needed. During our stay in Vietnam, we were constantly under the threat of attack from an enemy that we couldn’t see. We are in the same situation now in Iraq. Vietnam, lasting over 10 years, eventually failed. We are on the same course right now.

...haha... I assure you my friend, I know quite a bit about Americans History and Politics; I simply share a different view on the situation.
