Who has the money now ? The President said on national TV we were broke ! BP and the Chinese National oil company win lurative oil deals in Iraq. Wonder why we did not have a bit more influence to get oil at a better price ? We might be broke, we did spend a lot of money fighting to build a new Iraq ( Nation Building ) . We will see who has the money now and if big oil will disregard the market we should be working in, our own! Like it or not oil has legs because it is abundant and the golden rule applies here. Those who have the gold make the rules. AS much as we all would like better forms of energy it will not happen until a deal is struck with big oil to invest on a steeper curve to get this train moving.To put another turn on the screw, new forms of energy will be expensive. Americans do not have the funds, or jobs to live as before. Where will the funds come from? How much can you inflate the currency balloon before it breaks ? Pep
