    Anyone surprised by the results?

I'm not surprised Trump won so big, but I am slightly surprised DeSantis beat Haley. He seemed like he was floundering lately

I am in full agreement. I had thought Nikki would be a strong second.

Of all the candidates, she's my favorite. She at least seems the most level headed. Even though she's taken some more "extreme" positions for the primaries (as is primary season tradition for candidates), I get the sense she doesn't believe her culture war talking points as much as the other candidates, and would lead well for most Americans.

I am proud that she speaks on fiscal responsibility. Something that DC is in desperately need of.

Can we get the process terminology straight?

    Iowa is a Caucus.

There is a difference, and eventually a possible different result.

Out of the 110,179 votes shown in the OP, only 1615 votes separated DeSantis from Haley.

This caucus revealed exactly what I believed it would. President Trump is, far and away, the leader. By a country mile. I knew DeSantis and Haley would be close and this is approximately the ratio I thought it would be, give or take.

:D That does not surprise me. Tons of democrat money and big business liberals are funding her primary campaign.

I liked her in the UN; BUT PLEASE try to tell us three things that she has done as governor of her state and why you like her. She couldn't even answer that a man can't have a baby when asked!
It's a liberal thing. Same as you and the other worthless posters here who post CRAP and don't answer direct questions as they slink away.

I’m not surprised that you would like her (compared to the other republican candidates). Many that say they would vote for her also said, if she loses, they would vote for Biden. Her historical record is not really conservative, Sorry @Mopar Dude, she is going to lose in NH and SC. Yes, even y’alls home state too.
GW, I appreciate your honesty about election campaign promises just being, well… political. Apply that evenly… post and past.

One thing that I have noticed about the Iowa caucuses over the years is that the electorate are cordial. They gather in their own chambers, with their neighbors, listen to their opinions, vote on a piece of paper, and they don’t burn a single place down.
Edit: added a “n” were necessary. Hat tip to @charley, thanks for the etiquette and prose reminder. It’s been a well….. a few years, Thanks.

I tend to view things from an economic perspective being in business. I don’t often pay much nevermind to all the peripheral stuff that keeps folks at odds with one another. What I can say first hand is when she was my governor, this states economy was absolutely thriving. She understood that a business friendly environment meant prosperity for all and in that, she was rock solid…… You are correct, in that she will fall a distant second to Trump and he will eventually gain the nomination. I only hope the man is electable in our ultra divided nation. People just don’t realize how good they had it when he was leading the nation. Society has been so dumbed down that all they will see is the monster he is portrayed as by the media. It’s such a sad state.

One of them was on the radio today and explained how everything went in his group - how their system works. Anyone who wishes to speak for a candidate gets a chance. A letter was read from Nicki. They are handed out colored ballots. There were 54 people in his hall. Surprise, surprise, at the end 54 ballots were counted. :D He gave the percentages for each candidate out of the 54 votes but I don't remember them.

I notice the biggest ri$e from the Tromp Admin. is in food and insurance. :( What we are going to pay in the future for the people invading this country thanks to democrats is going to be thru the roof!

As the southern border is increasingly compromised, unprotected, and the Biden Administration advertises “open for free sh!t (visit USDA website)”. Sanctuary communities (that are complaining about illegals being sent to their states/cities) say it’s bankrupting their communities while they freely give out healthcare (Obamacare), housing, and food (I know it’s redundant….USDA). Why do they claim it’s unfair and racist when border towns have to deal with this sh……… everyday?

There is a huge community of illegals in a brand new area of Texas where they are being sold homes. The press is not telling us about it. Glenn Beck did an exposé on it. Gov. Abbott took $$$$$$$ from the crooks building it in order to turn TEXAS blue. :(

THX YES! I forgot the name. Why is this "town of invaders" being covered up by the democrat media who wish to turn Texas blue?

toughcoins Rarely is the liberal viewpoint tainted by realism

    Why?

Because the liberal media communicate to the masses.

Because the masses are the majority.

Because the majority don't want what the media moguls want.

    That's why.

About half chose someone other than T3.0. They must be the ones who understand that very shortly SCOTUS will declare him ineligible to hold office. Then he can quit with the false drivel that his inevitable criminal convictions would be political. The jurors will be clear on that. Game over.
