I have a unique opportunity today. I bid a commercial project in January 2020. The project was shelved while we dealt with the Covid crisis. Today the project is going back to market. My material bid is exactly as before, line by line unchanged. Take into account that I massaged my current bid figures below because the sticker shock was very real to me.
    Bid January 2020.............$35,523.00
    Current Bid.......................$54,971.00
This is real world inflation that real people deal with daily and the only way this will get back under control is to make the right choice in November.

The lack of hands-on experience in a Construction War Room on Bid Day is an element of education that very few have had the honor to participate in. It is the ONLY method to understand the entire economic system and how it relates to every monetary class.

An Estimator capable of managing Bids across 16 Divisions and impact adjustment, when the 2 Minute Drill Deadline for Bids is everything on the Line, can control the Economy of this Federal Republic very successfully, and has my vote.

Now, what has the other guy got.....A Contractual Language Degree?

Well, I have an answer for that, too. That Bid War Room? The guy sitting in the corner observing and checking sticking points in the Plans and Specs? He is the chosen Project Manager. Know what his degree is? Engineering Claims/Change Orders, and....when necessary....engineering a Breach in favor of the Bidder. Because he/she has done it over and over and over, on other Projects, with success.

Setting aside any us vs. them stuff, Past Potus Trump has a lifetime of a chair in the Construction Bid War Room. AND THEN BUILDING THE DAMN THING! That is fine with me. The others...well, maybe they prefer ignorance.

LOL. How many cents on the dollar was Taj Mahal liquidated for? How many fingers do you have on a hand? Most of his enterprises ended in disaster with contractors, subs, partners, financiers, investors etc all mired in loss and legal quagmire.

Even Forbes said if he would have only put his inheritance in mutual funds he would be far wealthier today and wound have saved thousands of people and entities grief and loss of funds.

Show us the list of accomplishments. The list of failures is overwhelming. almost everything he touches, including peoples lives. Their incarceration status and financial ruin.

He had over 3,000 active lawsuits against him in 2016 and has since been found liable for much fraud, like his biz U and charitable foundation. Imagine how much time it would take to dig that all up to package and present it here for you to look the other way not at. ( sentence ended in a preposition, no apology )

Now I know this is AI fake, but it really sums it up nicely.

You all saw this vid already, right? https://malaysia.news.yahoo.com/trumps-dad-resurrected-via-ai-203218118.html

But if he is your kind of guy, go for it and gawd bless.

He didn’t lead us to the precipice of war while tying military leaderships hands with woke initiatives.

You've said this a couple times. Could you elaborate on these initiatives you're so concerned about and their impacts?

Well, you caught me in my personal weakness. I Googled “woke impact on the military” and came up with pages of articles. I don’t know how to create links and attach them on my phone so best I can do is offer this screenshot of the first article top of the Google list…. Now Gene, keep in mind you are talking with a fellow that held a nuclear clearance for eight years. I been there, but yes it was a very long time ago…… One thing I can say to you that has always been the objective of a military commander is how to achieve victory on the battlefield and how to get his soldiers home. Those two objectives are the only objectives that need to concern a leader of men and women bearing arms. Period, end of story. All other political and societal objectives given to him are in conflict of his two prime objectives.

Gene, warfare is ugly and cruel. There is no room for politeness. In Joe’s SOTU he positioned himself as a wartime POTUS. That is undeniable. So if that is the posture he intends on taking, he better leave matters of victory up to the commanders otherwise we will find ourselves mired in another Vietnam and nobody wants to see young vibrant people placing their lives on the line for anything less than victory. And I don’t care whose feelings may get hurt in the process.

I hear where you're coming from and appreciate your experienced perspective, but I find it difficult to meet in the middle without measurables. If there's a policy problem, there must be measurable outcomes. I read that article and they even say part way through
They instead implore the reader to just use "common sense" which really isn't helpful to anyone not already drinking the Kool-aid.

To give them a bit of grace, they do later point to weakened recruitment numbers, which is something we can work with here. Is it "woke" policies driving young people away? Maybe. I think it's more likely a factor of the obesity epidemic slashing military eligibility rates, but who can say.

    What U ignore Thread KILLER

Liberals are so .... Take thisignorant nonsense above. It's like a camper gets bitten by a
Rattlesnake, his flesh is turning black and rotting in front of all of us and the dunce wants to know how many people got bit by Rattlesnakes last year and the percent who died before acknowledging the condition of the guys black leg. Get the log out of you eye, smash your fingers so you cannot type, and then stick the log into your pie hole. Where do these ingnorant people come from! A SUCCESSFUL MILITARY IS MADE UP OF PEOPLE WHO WANT TO BREAK THINGS AND KILL PEOPLE WHO THREATEN THEIR COUNTRY.

It is not run by girlie-men cowards afraid to use the wrong pronoun.

Three years ago I would carry my kids to Waffle House and get three plates of eggs, bacon and waffles and would get out of there for under thirty bucks…. Wife is out at work so we made it a Waffle House night. Three plates of eggs bacon and a waffle?? Fifty-four bucks…… Keep printing that cash, Brandon. You have more charging stations to build. What are we up to now? Thirteen stations for ten billion or so? Yep, keep on printing that cash. Another few years of this and fifty-four bucks won’t buy a damn loaf of bread…. I pray we make it to November.
