Easy Craig...I am have been called worst in this forum. Actually...in a way...it lets me know I am winning my argument when people have to stoop so low to equate you to Hitler or the KKK. Been there, been called that many times because I suggest something like controling our borders from the invasion of illegals coming into this country. As it was suggested earlier, nobody is going to change their mind from the far left to the far right, or vice versa. My mind changed after college in the early 80's when I became one of the first members in my family NOT to register as a democrat. Talk about some Christmas dinner conversations! I was involved in a few that were not "goodwill toward all men". Today, over 80% of my extended fanily are NOT registered as democrats anymore as it took them a bit longer to see the light. Actually, the democratic party abandoned my families' principles, so most people I knew growing up tore up their democratic registration cards in a quiet protest. Now, I have my beef with the republicans as well because presently, they are fiscally irresponsible and don't have the guts to protect our borders either. I call it "Hispania" which is the disease where you are afraid to upset the Hispanic population by doing the right thing. That is to protect our borders and make English the official lanquage of these United States. Future elections will always be about 20% of the voting population. 40% will ALWAYS vote LEFT and 40% will ALWAYS vote RIGHT. I look at the 20% that may lurk here as an opportunity to see it "my way"...or most of "my way". (Where's Sinatra when you need him?). So in the meantime, I have to go brainwash a few more southern churches that cater to stupid white people (as per Danr's suggestion earlier). That's the 20% we target, right Danr?

That's a big if... but I think it's unrealistic to get more than talk about impeachment unless the democrats get a super (2/3) majority in both the House and Senate. That seems quite unlikely, based on current approval numbers of democratic incumbents. Yes, approval numbers for Repulican congressmen are low right now... but Democratic numbers are even lower. Unless Bush or a prominent Republican screws up big time, or the economy tanks, before election time 2006, I seriously doubt whehter the democrats will even get control of either the House or Senate. Historically, the two times a president has been impeached (Andrew Johnson and Bill Clinton), the Repulicans held the majority in both branches of Congress while the democratic president was impeached, but not convicted. When Nixon was about to be impeached (he resigned before he was), the democrats controlled Congress. It is basically impossibly for a president to be impeached while his party has control of Congress for obvious political reasons. Regardless of the implications of the impeachment charges, actual impeachment proceedings will always be very partisan. As for the "several felony crimes involving surveillance," name one. If you're referring to the phone tap thing, not only is that NOT unprecedented (it was used by Clinton, Bush Sr., Reagan, Carter, etc.) it has been long determined to be legal in cases of national security. If you have a specific law or court case that says otherwise, would love to see you cite it.
I know, I think Sponge Bob was written as much for adults as it was for children. My kids have a couple of the DVD's that they have watched in the van on long car trips and I have heard the audio part only multiple times to several of the episodes that I've never actually viewed. And they are still funny as h-e-double-tooth-picks. I have to admit though, my favorite character is Plankton. He reminds me of me. "I WILL RULE THE WORLD!"

Watergate was 3rd rate break in at a plush hotel where 5 to 6 files were stolen from the DNC. Word of this crime made its way up to Nixon and he got busted for the denying that he knew what happened and covering it up. Hence his downfall. I guess the 700 FBI files that turned up in the private quarters of the Clinton White House didn't bother you, but you have to reach back to 1972 and pull out Watergate. Just face it Danr...you want to deny Bush and our militray the means to fight the war. The SAME means that every president has had since Carter. Oh...I forgot...because Bush is in office, you want to deny him his duty to defend and protect this country from enemies here and abroad. Since you are so high on the word impeach...impeach those that inhibit and hinder our means to find and kill our enemies. Now...that is an impeachable offense!
