Once again, you've blown the lid off quite the scandal, Little Joe. Great job! That mean, old Romney is... well... just so mean. The only thing is I can't seem to find where Romney told the Polish press to "Shove it!" as you've implied in your OP. Can you provide a link of Romney saying that or (better yet) a video clip? This is outrageously scandalous. Come on now, did he really say that?
I wouldn't call it a scandal as much as I'd call it par for the course for Romney. And just so you can figure things out, let me explain it to you. You seem to accept that Romney insulted the Brits and the Palestinians but take issue with Romney telling the Polish press to shove it. At least you have made progress to some degree. I never said Romney told the Polish press to shove it. If you read the link itself it clearly says romney press aide tells reporters shove it. I can provide the video to that if you'd like. If Romney's press aide doesn't count as part of his trip, please let me know. Geeesh! If you had a brain, you'd play with it. But then again, if you had a brain, you wouldn't be a republican.
I wonder why Romney picked Britain, Israel, and Poland. Let's see. Britain is still pissed at Obama (if due to nothing other than his I-pod), Israel is livid about Obama's return to early borders comment and Poland still upset over losing the missile shield. You think maybe he should visit Syria and Iran? That seems to be where Obama is more popular.
Your problem is that you listen to too much Right-wing propaganda and you've begun to believe it. That makes you Right-wing ignorant. Here are the facts complete with graph. Transatlantic Trends only asked of Obama's approval on foreign affairs, since, naturally, the domestic issues of the U.S. aren't of much concern for those in Europe. Nevertheless, the results offer a glimpse into how Europeans' attitude toward Obama differ from Americans'. The think tank found Obama's approval rating on international politics to be highest in Western Europe countries like Portugal (82 percent), the Netherlands (81 percent), Germany (81 percent), and Italy (79 percent)--nations that strongly opposed the War in Iraq and for which Obama offers a stark contrast to that war's president, George W. Bush.. The lowest ratings in the EU came from Eastern and Central European republics like Slovakia (58 percent), Bulgaria (63 percent), and Poland (65 percent), former Warsaw Bloc nations leery of Obama's opening of relations with Russia. Still, each country's approval rating is higher than his slim majority of support on foreign affairs in the U.S. The results are summarized in the chart below. View attachment 493
Mmmmm hmmmm.. just making sure that in your crazy, mixed-up world you think that whatever a presidential candidate's advisors/czars/henchmen say or do is exactly what the candidate would say or do.
I would definitely say that a press aide is a pretty inside the campaign figure and Romney is culpable for the comments of an aide that close to his inner circle, but nice attempt to pick a nit. You can't defend Romney insulting the Brits, the Palestinians and even the Israelis in the same speech, but you'll shave a hair to distance him from one of his press aides, you know, press aides are the people that are the mouthpieces for the candidates. The entire trip was one disaster after another and Romney is just as big of a joke internationally as he is domestically. At least your guy is consistent....Consistently terrible.
Obama just can't get his words out or think on his feet, can he? http://joshuapundit.blogspot.com/2012/05/wh-spokeshole-carney-embarrased-into.html
Or this: http://newsbusters.org/blogs/tom-bl...it-what-law-dictates-jerusalem-israels-capita Poor Obama. He is such an idiot.
Fine. Look it up yourself. Facts are facts whether you get them from a blog or a news wire. If they're true, they're true. And, in this case, they are. But, if you wish to bury your head in the sand and don't want to be enlightened, feel free to remain ignorant.
Now that the tapes are out, have you even bothered to listen to the idiot press? And at the tomb of the unknown soldier to boot! Now there is couth for you. BTW, I seem to remember someone else telling the press to "shove it". Somehow, it did not seem to be such a big deal when she said it. But then she was a Democrat, wasn't she?
So, pointing out potential security issues is insulting? I am encouraged we have a candidate with the experience to know these things.
Are you also encouraged that Romney blabbed about a secret MI-6 meeting he had during an interview? Romney certainly didn't have to restate already known security concerns that had already been addressed as if he had just picked up the local paper and read about them. He is such a phony idiot only you guys could love him. Even FOX, yes FOX is criticizing him for one gaff after another during this trip. He is a total joke and the best the RW has to offer and you get to say that you voted for him.
The press corp was allowed 3 total questions the entire trip. Three! Why is Romney hiding from the press? Because he puts his foot squarely in his mouth every time he isn't in front of a teleprompter. Again, what a joke.
"I've been to 57 states, only a few more to go" "Above my paygrade" "Typical white woman" ...not to mention seeing dead people at a function honoring fallen soldiers... So yeah, someone confident & smart enough to discuss this sort of thing is a breath of fresh air.
