Standing up for the Civil Rights of another is one thing, but A&E has no business actually "promoting" the immoral and unhealthy lifestyle of the LBGT community to the youth of America. That's where A&E, and many others in the Media, step WAY over the line and violate the rights of parents to protect their children from abuse.

Promoting a Gay lifestyle to children who are developing both physically and emotionally is Child Abuse...and A&E should be held to account.

 

Oh boy, another drive-by opinion by yet another Right-winger that has no ability to discuss an issue but can make personal attacks endlessly. Is this all you guys ever have? Answer: YES!

I've made several honest contributions while at the same time ignoring most of the personal attacks by YOU and your ilk. You just choose to ignore the honest contributions and dive on anything of a personal nature. You guys simply need an enemy which I provide with objective indifference. That is why I mostly ignore you guys and converse with people like Stu.

I watched a few episodes of Duck Dynasty this week...it's a funny show and they sure seem to be good people.

Every episode ends with a family dinner and prayer. Early on, I believe that A&E would not let them say 'In Jesus' name' but that went away early on. Most every episode is basically a morality play on family and their religious values. It is not 'in your face' God This and God That but it is certainly put out there.

As far as being hammered, I think the initial reaction from one of the LGBT groups was even that his beliefs didn't coincide with what Christians actually believe. That is actually BS. About 2/3rds of people who regularly attend church still believe it is a sin. And with evangelicals, its about 3/4ths.

Anyway, A&E has reversed itself just like Cracker Barrel...only it took them longer. And the moral of this story...Don't piss off us 'Rednecks'.

 

It is, by far, not the worst thing on TV and it is definitely a change of pace from a lot of shows. It is scripted but they certainly have no problems with having fun at their own expense in order to get a moral point across. Maybe it helps that I am pretty much just a bearded, redneck myself. Albeit with a lot less cash.

It appears the liberals didn't whine loud enough for A&E to keep it off the air. Or maybe people realized that freedom of speech should actually be regarded and practiced instead of shat upon by the liberals.
