I found this roaming around on the more conservative side of Twitter. What do you all think? Personally I disagree with the legalization of marijuana and I disagree with the repealing and abolishment of executive orders. And maybe questioning a few others.
Most of it looks good on paper! I wish some of these things would come to fruition. Term limits for Congress would be huge and is long overdue in this nation in my opinion. I'm with you on the marijuana legalization part.
-Consitution & BOR: should be absolute but stay amendable -absolish the federal reserve: not educated enough on the topic to comment -sound money: I've never totally understood this one. Why is backing money with rocks we also arbitrarily assigned value to so much better? -income and sales tax: I land on the opposite side of this one. I feel making the federal income based more on sales tax could make the country overly dependent on consumerism. They would just be out a ton of money if something like Covid-19 happens again. Federal spending/projected revenue: good in theory, but where you make the cuts is key. Congress term limits: I'm all for it Reduce government bureaucracy: too vague to comment Congressional approval for all military action: all in, with the exception of attacks on U.S. soil $1 foreign aid for $1 domestic aid: silly, simplistic, unnecessary Limit foreign bases: sure End executive orders: I think we've seen plenty of abuse from all sides with regards to this, let's end it Repeal Patriot act: that's an emphatic yes from me Corporations aren't people anymore: an even more emphatic YES! Ending super-PACs and corporate financial influence in elections: THE BIGGEST YES legalization of marijuana: might as well, it's already happened in a bunch of states anyway. Just a matter of time. Demilitarization of police: yes please
Oh I would make alcohol illegal if it would work. I know how prohibition went but I said a few threads before that I hate alcohol and MJ equally
