I'm sort of half-watching _The Matrix_ on AMC, flickin' back and forth between that and Olbermann, waiting for _Sabrina_ to come on, and started reflecting about _The Matrix_ that although I think it was vastly overrated as movies and as sci-fi, still, _any_ half-way decent sci-fi is welcome, and it's certainly that (but the "Riddick" movies and _Serenity_ kick its ass, to list just three recent ones), and further that the best role in _The Matrix_ is the all-too-often ubiquitous Agent Smith, and wondered who played him, or it, and looked him up on imdb.com, and the actor's name is Hugo Weaving, who has been in movies since 1980, _and I've never seen one single movie he was in before_ _The Matrix_. For that matter, I think the only one I'd heard of was _Babe_, which if I mistake me not was an animated film about a pig. Pretty weird, if you ask me. Too weird. AAMOF, I don't think he's real, and imdb.com (or someone who made them an offer they couldn't refuse) is making it all up, and I WANT SOME ANSWERS. Is it real, or is it Memorex? You know, "it". Ah. Time for _Sabrina_. <signs off> -- tinmimus99@hotmail.com smeeter 11 or maybe 12 mp 10 mhm 29x13 Color television is certainly a lot more fun than this terribly risky genetic method of reproduction we've taken over. And John Carpenter did a wunnerful job with _his_ remake of that other notable piece-o'-'50s-horror-cheese, _The Thing_. I wonder what a remake of _Plan 9 from Outer Space_ would be like, with a real budget (at least enough to pay a real writer to try to thrash out a screenplay that comes reasonably close to making sense).
