    Yessserrrieee...

Our air conditioning went out two weeks ago and with money running away
faster than we can bring it in we ain't got it fixed yet. Hopefully soon it
    will get looked at...

My arthritis tells me sooner than the weather people that the humidity is on
the rise. I've got it in my left shoulder, all ten fingers and lower spine.
It has made it quite interesting trying to sleep at night. A few times I
just sat in the dear old rocker with a pillow in my back so Dan could sleep.

It has been awhile since we have had this bit of rain. They said we need
about 15 inches more of rain to get out of our dire draught conditions. This
is the first rain in a long, long time that the air has actuall cooled down
and made it bearable to be outside.

Has it cooled down in your location?

Why! as a matter of fact yes...are you psychic or something?

It was Bush's Beans with maple flavored bacon.

My windows have been opened for over two weeks now. No air and (alas) no
heat if the weather turns colder as both are together in one unit. Thanks
    for the suggestion.

Dan makes too much for assistance, but barely enough to keep us going, I had
to cut back on some of my meds (doc is going to kill me) because I can't buy
them even with the health insurance co-pay. I am one of those people that
can't afford to live and can't afford to die (no insurance company would
give me a policy.) I told Dan just dig a hole in the back yard and throw me
    in.
I'm all through now...It is cool and I feel good... ;o)

This is excellent tree trimming weather unlike the 100 degrees of this

I don't much care for the winter. Was in too many snowy day accidents and
was afraid to go outside. Have been in North Carolina for about 12 years
now. I have to admit that I miss snow on Christmas morning...but then
someone slaps me and the feeling is gone.

If it wasn't for the extreme hurricanes and worse summer heat, I would move
    to Florida.

Hotter'n NC by a bit, humidity hovers at 78%+ most of the time. I've no A/
C, consider it excess and evil, think it should be made illegal. Along
with automatic transmissions. This place would clear of all the riff-raff
in an eyeblink. We blow the hatches and keep the fans running 24/7.

Haven't seen a hurricane in two seasons. Weather'd plenty of the ones wot
    did show up.

For health reasons I need my a/c. I have been without it for a few weeks now
and believe me my body is rebelling. I am very thankful for these last few
days of rain and cooler weather.

We have not had a direct hit from a hurricane since Fran hit us.. which was
funny because we were cintinually being updated and told it was not going to
    hit us.
