And the Cubs will win the World series along with the Hawks winning the Stanly Cup (oh yes I can dream as well)

The dreaming is only one step of the process, we must take action and the ideas and dreams will begin to manifest themselves clearly in the form of an undeniable reality.

You're the kind of person that makes democrats and the liberal mindset look REEEAALLLY bad! You left any type of reasoning at the door before you came in. You can't state details, specifics or a plan. Only that Obama, your mesiah has come to deliver us World peace. And the oooold, worn out, tired come back that McCain, (who I dislike just as much) "Couldn't do any better." That's the only answer you can come up with. A cop out.

When did you find out about Obama? This year? Late 2007? Do you know anything about him or his qualifications or what he has done in the past?

Since you don't, I'll very quickly spell it out for you.

They tell us he was born in Hawaii. His father was killed in a car accident at an early age. His mother re-married and divorced. His step-father took him to Indonesia to grow up as a kid where he studied Islam. His mother died of cancer. He goes back to Hawaii to live with his grandparents and does some drugs to pass the time. Then he decides to go to Columbia law school and graduates from Harvard, later working as a civil rights lawyer.

Eventually, he moves to Chicago where he takes a gig as a "community organizer". His first BIG responsibility. Then he works for a Chicago firm and gets to know Tony Rezko (now in prison) and Co. He ends up being in charge of a bunch of public housing projects in Chicago where he fights to keep a middle man, a go between guy, receiving funds from the Federal government before they get to the housing projects. The middle man being Rezko, who's directing money to his political campaign, while the projects fell into disrepair and the occupants lived in filth. (Oh my gosh! He neglected the poor!?)

Eventually, he becomes IL senator, then a U.S. senator briefly who has trouble showing up for work and votes 'present', rather than yes or no, 90% of the time. In 2004 he claims he does not wish to seek the presidency because honestly, "he wouldn't know what he was doing". Four years later, he is elected president because people were dissatisfied with Bush, nobody was given a conservative to vote for against him AND, some believe Obama is a great speaker.

Now, 50% of the country waits for their savior to bring world peace and a great economy. The other 50% is waiting for a 4 year disaster to unfold.

IMO, the only thing a community organizer/senator/lawyer is going to be capable of doing is figuring out how to cover their own ass after they get into trouble. That' really not a whole lot of good work experience there.

Please, pick out the part that proves to you that he's capable of doing anything??

I was quite aware of his history. Also, I feel as though my plan is entirely flawless.

Barack Obama will be a step in the right direction, fixing what Bush screwed up.

Isaiah, I love your avatar and signature.
I used to believe the things you are saying now, but alas, I have become disillusioned.

What do you mean 'YOUR PLAN' are you perhaps Obama in disguise or his adviser?? :D

Neither, but I don't believe we rely solely on Obama for success and world peace, if you followed all of my posts in all of my threads, you would know that.

the world needs compassion, affection, love, peace. We can accomplish nothing without these ideals.

Certainly I woudnt argue with that but it unfortunatly also has a lot of people who want powere and do not mind how they gain it and the election of Obama will not change that one iota.

I admit that I wanted cynthia mckinney of the green party to win, and thought that she had the best ideals, but since she did not win, I think Obama is an entirely satisfactory alternative.
