How much do you think Obama knew?

At the risk of getting banned or having my post edited, I would like to know what you guys think Obama knew about his Senate seat being up for sale & how long he knew it.

 

Why should I ban you for asking that David and why should I edit the post?? come on tell us?? I only edit when a member step over the line (as I told you in my last Pm to you) the same goes for banning a member or restricting there posting privliges.

I have no idea if he knew anything or not and I suspect that there is a minuscule number of people who would ever know if he did or not. And I know none of that minuscule number of people post on this site. lol

At the risk of stepping over that subjective line......poor, poor Obama. Everyone lets him down. It wasn't the Jeremiah Wright that he knew, it wasn't the Tony Rezko he knew, it wasn't the Bill Ayers he knew, it wasn't the Rod Blagojevich that he knew.
Maybe Obama, Rahn Emanuel & David Axelrod should sit down & get their stories straight before giving conflicting versions to the media. Oh yeah, doesn't matter because he's a new kind of politician. Sure he is.

Could be. Chicago politics is dirty and Jack, being a Detroit native, may have a better grasp on this than many others. Point being politics is INDEED a dirty business. I personally believe this happens on all levels from Hooterville to Chicago. It's just the magnitude.

Perhaps they should if he's as involved as you might believe. That would be the wise (yet crooked like a politician) thing to do. Lots of the "old kind of politicians" have done this I can bet.
Now as for "new politician" of course he is no matter how one looks at. He's black for starters. He was born in Hawaii - or was he? He's a Christian - or is it Muslim?
He has been "blamed" for all sorts of problems in the U.S. and worldwide by different groups BEFORE he has taken office. Don't believe me? - dig into some of your old posts for examples.

Now instead of going on and on about that let's get back to the original question. What did he know?

Well, he's not returning my calls nor answering my Yahoo emails. Sorry couldn't resist that.

Did he know Blago was scum? Pretty sure as most people in Illinois did as well it seems.
Why be seen with him? Photo ops and sometimes people like that really DO have to interact.

Did people around Obama know? Could be which would be a good reason to stay away from the guy.

Why isn't he talking? Investigation still going on? Perhaps he's talking to investigators?

Lots of "ifs and whats" here when you get down to it.

It will most likely be years before we know if we ever do. Food for thought though. Why would Blago refer to Obama as a M bleeper if Obama knew the extent of it? I'll toss out choreoghraphed coaching before you do. Yea, Blago wanted to lay his career on the line for Obama. Yea, that's the ticket!

 

I'm not willing to chalk this case up to intelligence at all.

He had absolutely nothing to gain. What does Obama care who gets his senate seat? Of course he doesn't need the money. So again, nothing to gain. So by default, he managed to stay out of this one.

Now, I'd love to know how intelligent he was 4 to 6 years ago. Him and Daley were campaigning to get Blago elected the first time and again the second time. So either he was a poor judge of character, equally as crooked or completely incompetent. I'll let you guys pick one. What else might have been going on?

The projects Obama was in charge of fell into disrepair despite money coming in. It went to his campaign. Not fixing the low income housing. He insisted on having a middle man to handle the money between the government and the projects. This whole story was swept under the rug. I don't know if I ever even got to see it on the news.

I predict the next 4 years will be such a mess, filled with so much corruption and stupidity, that people will be wishing they had Bush back. In fact, I would almost guarantee it!

Obama Aide Talked With Governor's Office

Published reports say President-elect Barack Obama's chief of staff talked to Illinois Governor Rod Blagojevich's administration about who would replace Obama in the U.S. Senate. The Chicago "Tribune" reports Rahm Emanuel gave the Governor's office a list of candidates who would be "acceptable" to Obama. Blagojevich faces federal charges in an alleged shakedown involving the vacant Senate seat. On Thursday, Obama said he had never spoken to Blagojevich about the Senate vacancy and was, quote, "confident that no representatives" of his had engaged in any dealmaking over the seat with the governor or his team.

The truth will begin to trickle out but it will be in small doses so that the Obama defenders have time to "explain away" his actions or re-state "what he meant to say".

What is there to defend David? do you have proof positive that Obama was involved in trying to sell his senate seat or knew about it? If so then I do sugest that you contact your local FBI office and inform them, otherwise all that is been said here is pure speculation is it not?
