I've been listening to many of the leading democrats lately- both office holders & candidates- and I've wondered how in the world they can reconcile support for BO yet attempt to distance themselves from him on national issues such as Syria and Obamacare. Even BO's war on natural resources & his attempt to make people who have bypassed our laws regarding legal immigration legal seem to be contrary to our own self interest.
Funny, I have been watching GOP members come out one after another on both sides of the Syria issue. First Obama should have asked congress to pass a resolution they demanded, then he was weak for doing so. Then they didn't want us to go to war in Syria and when a possible diplomatic solution came along, they called him a failure as a leader. The funny part is that as this fluid situation develops, the GOP and Fox are twisting themselves in knots trying to figure out how to criticize the president. Karl Rove said one night that he was absolutely against the U.S. going into Syria and now he says it is a mistake not to go into Syria. I think Obama is playing the GOP like a cheap fiddle. They don't know which side of the issue to be on so they usually opt for both. Too funny to watch. You poor bastards. http://www.hulu.com/embed-html.html?eid=6n6s-iznb73_qi3uvrhozq
It amazes me that, in order to win an election on any level, the main democrat strategy revolves around how a candidate can distance themselves from BO's policies yet still offer a show of support for the guy...and keep a straight face while doing it! It's just as amazing how the voters can fall victim to this double-speak.
Apparently some voters are that stupid. One of the candidates I listened to opposed Obamacare (because it raised everyone's insurance premiums, added to the national debt & forced employers to cut jobs/hours), opposed BO's desire to bomb Syria, opposed BO's assault on our natural resources (because no viable alternative fuels existed plus it cost jobs), opposed amnesty for illegals and felt BO make a huge mistake by raising middle class taxes earlier this year...yet considered himself a loyal democrat & supporter of BO. Go figure...someone can be diametrically opposed to everything BO holds near & dear yet consider himself a supporter.
It is this statement right here that I love. So Democrats are distancing themselves form Obamacare and yet.... Pennsylvania's GOP Governor Flips To Support Obamacare Medicaid Expansion: Reports The Huffington Post | By Jeffrey Young Posted: 09/12/2013 5:13 pm EDT | Updated: 09/13/2013 Pennsylvania Gov. Tom Corbett (R) is poised to reverse course and announce his support for expanding Medicaid under Obamacare, according to a news report. Pennsylvania Gov. Tom Corbett may be the 10th Republican governor to back a Medicaid expansion in his state under President Barack Obama's health care reform law, according to reports. Corbett declared in February that Pennsylvania wouldn't open Medicaid to more poor people under the law, but he will reverse that position and support a version of the expansion, Lancaster Online reported Thursday, citing anonymous sources. Corbett will make a Medicaid announcement soon, two Corbett aides confirmed to PoliticsPA. A Medicaid expansion would provide health coverage to 682,000 people in Pennsylvania, according to the Lancaster Online report. Not counting Pennsylvania, 24 states and the District of Columbia plan to broaden Medicaid under Obamacare starting next year. By supporting the Medicaid expansion, Corbett would join fellow Republican governors, including neighbors Chris Christie in New Jersey and John Kasich in Ohio, in bucking GOP resistance to the health care reform law. Iowa Gov. Terry Branstad (R) also initially opposed the Medicaid expansion before changing course. Although a handful of Republican governors have backed the Medicaid expansion, most Republicans refuse to enlarge the program in their states. Kasich and Gov. Rick Scott of Florida haven't been able to move Medicaid expansion bills through their Republican-majority legislatures, as Arizona Gov. Jan Brewer and Michigan Gov. Rick Snyder have. The Pennsylvania Senate approved legislation in June that would have expanded Medicaid but the state House stripped it from the bill the following month. Corbett has been eyeing a form of Medicaid expansion that would restructure the program in his state. He favors reforms such as enrolling Medicaid beneficiaries into private health insurance plans, similar to legislation enacted in Arkansas, Iowa and Michigan this year, and wants to add requirements such as new co-payments for medical treatments, according to the Philadelphia Inquirer. I guess if you say it to yourself enough times, you begin to believe your own lies and delusions.
...I missed the part of how this expalins why dimicrats are distancing themselves from all things Obama?
Like when people distanced themselves from Jr., or McCain, or Romney? Nah, Obama's got issues, sure, but none like those three losers. Maybe they're afraid of his Package. No, that was republicans. Maybe it's 'cause he's black. No...racists republicans that time. Maybe it's his breath? Wouldn't know, sorry. Nah, I'm sure YOU know, and will tell us ALLLLLL about it.
Sheesh! You right-wing-nut wads will pick-up any BS story and run with it, as long as it's something negative about Obama!
Are there no liberals here who are smart enough to explain why unions are rejecting Obamacare? I believe there was one liberal at one time who was on here who was smart enough to at least try. Seriously, liberals, can you please explain to everyone here why unions, who fully backed Obama and Obamacare are now turning against the Obamacare tax? I would love to hear from one or more liberals on this issue. After all, it was your party who rammed the damned thing down the country's throat. It was your leader (Nancy Pelosi) who told us we have to pass the bill before we could read it. Well, have the unions had time to read it now and are appalled with what's in store for them? Obamacare supporters on this very forum who were so vocal about its soon-to-happen miracles should surely have complete knowledge of the law and should be able to explain to the rest of us why unions are turning against it. Please, what is the reason unions are turning on Obamacare....?
Oh, and while you're at it, perhaps you can explain why Warren Buffett has turned against Obamacare: View attachment 1991 http://www.weeklystandard.com/blogs...tml?utm_source=twitterfeed&utm_medium=twitter
