I'm quite sure Baldwin was properly briefed on how to handle the firearm . . . sadly, he's one of the "rules are made for others, and not for me" crowd.

Watching Roger Waters The Wall…. Absolutely spectacular rendition of Floyd’s double album…… It is a live concert recording and one of the dramatic scenes is “Pink” assuming the role of paramilitary commander and he sprays the entire audience with an Uzi….. An act I am sure Waters has recreated on numerous stages….. Funny how a rock & roll road crew can get it right but a pompous film crew cannot.

I have the Pink Floyd DVD "Pulse". Unfortunately, it just has a WWI aircraft being shot down. :(

One thing I'm confused about, why are we even using blanks anymore? CGI is plenty good enough to make it look real without having to shoot blanks.

Blanks are so inexpensive to employ in such scenes compared to building the visual and sound effects from the ground up. Just as importantly, firing blanks will be more realistic than the lighting and acoustic effects

CGI gun effects look like the special effects on Jaws. All that Hollywood needs to do is quit badmouthing the firearm industry and ask them to make them realistic and accurate looking props that are incapable of chambering or firing a live round. This is easily done with production firearms and they can produce any type of special effects rounds. The other thing they need to do is hire real firearms experts to train them in safety. If an actor or actress can’t pass the experts test, they shouldn’t be allowed to touch a firearm, real or not.

I could see the both of your points being true in low budget productions, but I think you may be surprised how good visual effects are now. They operate with the mantra that if nobody notices their work, they've done a good job, and every major movie of the last 10 years is absolutely loaded with CGI.

I guarantee the sound in the final films aren't from the blanks either, that's what Foley artists are for. Turns out the real deal is rarely as satisfying as an idealized reproduction.

To have been such an over the top arrogant prick for so many years, it sure is hard to swallow this new sad and remorseful Baldwin.

Well, after all, he did state...in that mutual adoration society information session....that he did not pull the trigger....

I missed the part where a seasoned actor can't portray a sad and remorseful person, for the audience.

I believe it is known in Theater as Willing Suspension of Disbelief.

I don't understand how this turd can say he doesn't feel guilty . . . I don't mean guilty of a crime, but simply feeling guilt over being present, over potentially being able to do something differently, no matter how insignificantly it may have changed the course of events.

I know there's little to nothing I could do about it, but when a bird flies head-on into the grill of my truck on a country road I still feel guilty . . . Baldwin's response to this incident is just another glaring example of "Oh well" from the "Do as I say, not as I do" crowd.
