Picture it yourself, it's 1979, the Shah of Iran has just been violently deposed, and the Soviet Union has just invaded Afghanistan. In response, the United States has given the nod to France to release the Ayatollah Khomeni to bring the crisis in Iraq to an end. One year later, Iraq is given an (extremely) large line of credit with nothing but encouragement to use whatever means possible to depose the Ayatollah, after an extremely traumatic hostage situation. Saddam is now our best friend in the region. On the Afghanistan front American money is infiltrating to the Moslem "Freedom Fighters" that include Osama Bin Laden, and formative organizations of the Talaban, Al-Queda and others.

Interesting.. in 1980 the world threat was still "the Communist" and everyone fighting against them were "Freedom Fighters"

Fast Forward 25 years.. Nobody is a Communist anymore.. the largest threat to the U.S. are the former Freedom Fighters except today we have a new word to classify them and all our enemies, Terrorists.

Say you have the chance to fix this mess, what could President Carter and Reagan have done differently?

 

Ronald Wilson Reagan (666) was responsible for keeping those hostages there. Remember he had them released a few days after he was elected. Later he paid them back with missiles (Iran Contra). Meanwhile he was training Osama to blow up buildings. They created this mess in order to keep the military industrial complex functional in a post-USSR world.

Ayatollah Khomeni , thinks we are the devil and should be destroyed.
What on earth was Jimmy Carter thinking of when he replaced one for the other.

Yes I know all about the Shah's then secret police the SAVAK their Qezel-Qalaeh prison and how they went after islamic fundamentalist that wanted islam to replace western thought in Iran. I also remember how Carter and the leftist press went after The Shah for having the police force that our CIA organized. I also remember how Jimmy Carter dismantled the CIA in public and was responsible for deaths of active in the field agents as well as informers and others that worked for the CIA against their home nation. I also remember how Carter brought Ayatollah Khomeni back into Iran after forcing out our surprised and stunned ally, the Shah.

As for hinesight. The CIA told Carter about the danger of Ayatollah Khomeni and offered to take him out in France. Instead the shocked Carter attacked the CIA and its methods of dealing with terrorists and potential dangers to US security. Carter till this day thinks he did a good thing but think about how many people would be alive if not for Ayatollah Khomeni reign of terror inside of Iran when he took power. Think about Iran today being a western nation where islam is an after thought instead of Iran today being an islamic state that is building nuclear capabilities and has its islamic president talking about blowing up nations at rallies.

 

Has anyone noticed how W delayed (indefinately) the release of the Ronald Wilson Reagan(666) docs? Plenty of info there. BTW everything I stated above will be the history in the books in 50 years remember us libs write the history books.

Danr if Carter supported the Shah instead of turning on him we would not have the mess we have today. Islam would have been kept in check. You might be to young to know this but the reason why Russia went into Afghanistan to support their puppet government was because Russia was concerned that the fire of active Islam would spread into Afghanistan and then into their oil rich inactive muslim soviet states. The whole war could have been avoid by them if not for Carter's action and the world would only have to deal with the Saudi sunni fire which might have been taken out by the Shah if he was still in power with his United States bought planes and trained pilots. Look it up. Iran leadership wanted to be like us and we were in effect in control of Iran by supporting, arming and training them. Before Carter that is.

Also it should be pointed out that Reagan despised the first Bush. Bush attacked him in a very negative way during the primary race. But Reagan's advisors told him that he needed Texas to win and Bush was Texas. Turns out Reagan didn't need Bush after all but was then stuck with him. I would not be surprise if Reagan does not have kind words about his Vice-President.

By the way Reagan was truly one of the greatest American Presidents.
He had alot of democrats voting for him called Reagan Democrats for he was a statesman with a vision and worked hard to make that vision a reality. It was a shame the he didn't win the primary earlier when he was younger.

 

I think a guy could build a credible argument that Jimmy Carter was the worst President of the 20th Century, and that would include Warren T. Harding.

 

I don't know about that. 50 years from now America's children might be reading how great he was after they recite the Koran and watch a beheading. That is if we lose this conflict.

Yes herion is coming from Afghanistan now and you know what it was before we went into that area as well. The muslims are big on herion as a source of income and as a tool to undermine europe and the united states. Iran and Pakistan are two major growers as well as Afghanistan. Turkey is big on moving it into Europe and the muslim controled Nigeria is big on moving muslim herion into the United States.
Syria is also involved as well as a ton of islamic terrorist groups.

But you will not see that in to many movies. Not politically correct. Leftywood would rather show a few bad american apples and ignore the whole muslim orchard.
