I'm not wishing we'd implement the same... Just fristrated that our soldiers are fighting a war, another war (right or wrong) and being held to rules that the other side is not held too...

Also frustrated by our media (TV and papers)... I think they sometimes do us more harm than good and think there is a lot of stuff shown or covered only of it fits their agenda...

I think alot of the positives or other things are not covered as it would not tow the line...

I think the Sunis and the Shias were waring long before we got involved at all and even if we never went over there I think they would still want us dead...

I think that "some" Muslims/Islamists would still want all non-muslims dead...

I don't think it'll ever whether we leave or not...

I think there are a very large number of peace loveing muslims (larger than non) that just want to live life according to their cultures and traditions, but I think there is also a very large number of muslim extreamists that will continue to kill untill they have converted everyone on the sandpile to their ways...


Then once that force is bigger, they will move to the next closest area and keep going...

Look how many are in Europe and those places and the attacks and issues they are having... They are non-us and sometimes anti-US...

I don't think it will be an issue to anyone till the UN and the other folks that want to create a one world system get ticked off... Then it might be a mainstream issue...

 

Religious cleansing is what happened above. While the pakistan army and militias was imposing its will in what is now Bangladesh, they decided to kill between 1 million and 3 million hindu's. Never mind gang rape in "army barricks and muslim homes thousands of hindu girls. All documented from newsweek to national geographic magazine and newsources from 1971. Pick any decade and an example of genocide being committed by the muslims against non-muslims can be found. It has nothing to do with the united states.

 

Smul, I guess you have to fight the war you have not the war you want. I don't care so much about understanding these people as I care about first stopping them and then trying to understand how any of our actions may have contributed to their behavior. It could have been something simple and avoidable but we'll never understand how to avoid this in the future if we don't know what caused it this time.

I know that there are people that view this as us against them and kill or be killed or kill'em all and let Allah sort'em out, but those are the same type of people that will have us in this situation again and again for whatever perverse reasons of their own. I genuinely believe that some people prefer to have an enemy. They need something to be against. They probably see themselves as warriors or superheros and can't define themselves without a villian to be opposed to. Old warriors never die, they just keep fighting wars in their heads.

 

No, old warriors become everything from School Teachers and City Council Members to the Secretary of Defense for Presidential Administrations. They do vastly more than fade away as oft quoted prose would have you believe. Old soldiers end up as civic and national leaders and influance policy at all levels.

True, once a soldier always a soldier and the good news is there is going to be a whole new generation of old soldiers to lead the nation and I'll salute every one of them... Ain't America Wonderful.

The first thing a soldier is taught is to let someone else do their thinking for them. The next thought they usually have depends on what they are told to think and when. A lesson unfortunately carried over into civilian life...once a soldier always a soldier.

Well, if he was trying to kill me at the time, I'd snap his scrawny neck, rip his head off and spit down the hole. If he was trying to justify killing people using his religion in a real debate, I suppose I'd take in what he said and tell him that I think any religious fanatic is just blight on humanity. I probably suffer more from a lack of fear than the problem of being paralyzed by it.

For instance, I was dropping off some mail at the post office Sunday when I looked across the street at a group of 19-20 something hispanic males taunting and yelling at three other hispanics on the sidewalk. They were calling them the N word for some reason and by the time I pulled out onto the street, they were swinging at each other. I immediately pulled up to them and told them to go home or they would spend the rest of the weekend in jail. Heck, they didn't know I wasn't a cop. One of them cussed at me and then they broke up the fight and went their seperate ways.

We have been having some gang problems in the schools lately between the hispanics and the blacks and there have been a few incidence with knives and guns. It generally is immigrant families that have parents that don't speak English and their kids now reaching adulthood do. If we in the community don't stand up and say something when these incidence occur, they'll just get worse and worse. That's an example of my fear level.

Thats right then as good muslims we would have to go out and kill the other muslims who belong to different sects for in Islam there can only be one.

Moen why are you hell bent on attacking the american soldier and ignoring that islam has caused one genocide after another not just one thousand years ago but every decade you can look at including the most glaring example of what is happening in the Sudan right now. Never mind that the muslims in Pakistian created a genocide upon the Hindus in West Pakistain in the 1940's and 1950's then creates a genocide against hindus in east pakistain in 1971. Tens of millions were killed overall. Today they are still going into India and killing Hindus in the mountains next to Pakistian. Why, because they believe in cleansing.
