However, I once heard someone say, not all Muslims are Terrorists, but ""most"" Terrorists are Muslim....

If the Muslim community both here and abroad are really interested in peace and and showing they are not all death merchants, I think they need to come out, denounce the radicals and set themselves apart....

They need to send a strong message that this is not what they are about and they do not support or approve of this....

They need to Call for the end of the Bombings, beheadings and other attacks....

I isn't me that hates all Muslims, it's Midas. I did say that not all Muslims are terrorists but the majority of terrorists are Muslims. That's a big difference.

The Islamic religion has been hijacked by terrorists and used to justify their actions. That alone is bound to win them some sympathy within the Muslim community and some outrage. Of the Muslims I know, they seem like a great bunch of people. I couldn't condemn them all for the actions of a small percent.

Look with one in 12 verses in the koran that deal with some type of hate and when you look at the deeds and actions of "true" muslims and their 14 centuries of jihad, the religion is what it is.

Islam itself means "to surrrender to and/or submit to their allah" (or else!)

This religion has not been hijacked...it is what it is.

Suicide is against islam BUT martydom is not, and hence...you can be the worse living muslim scum bag around, but if you die for jihad, you get a direct pass to muslim paradise and 72 virgins. It is why this religion is so attractive to low-lifes (like our prison population) because an act of jihad supersedes anything you have done in your scum bag life.

And since many muslim men in the middle east hate their life on this Earth (because it is the Jew's and Christian's fault, right?), they relish death over life. They just can't wait for those virgins.

Sure...many muslims are "not muslim enough" and wish to live their lives in peace...BUT the ones that are "true" muslims, well...those are the ones we have been fighting and will always have to fight.

Leviticus says some pretty out there stuff in the bible too, but does that mean all Christians run out and follow it to the letter. I'm sure some people have used it to justify things they've done and that is all these terrorists are doing is using the parts that justify their actions to gain support from a deeply religious people.

You are also using these passages to justify your own hatred. They have little relevance or meaning to the modern Muslim just as Leviticus has little meaning to the modern Christian. Your reasoning is based on a flawed assumption that if it is written, it shall be.

This is the whole problem with living your life from a book. It can't have but scant relevance to the world we live in today and it was written too long ago by cultures with way different ideas about the world than we have. Yet these books are thrown at us daily like pounding a square peg into a round hole. There just is no fit between these words and the reality of todays cultures in anyway other than very superficially.

 

If you read the koran then you see that the terrorist are just following its teachings.
It is not a book that is misread or misused. It is basically another version of "The Art of War".
There can be no deviation, which is why the Sunni's and Shia will sooner or later fight to the death.
The question is will they do that after killing or converting everyone else or before.

That is why it is so importent to have the religion turn more into a cultural thing and less of a spirtual.
True Democracy and a freedom of thought over time could achieve that and free around a billion people.

Big differance, Jews and Christians have moved on into the 21st Century whereas "true" muslims desire to bring it back to the days of their pedophile prophet.

Actions and Deeds are more than enough proof as "true" muslims believe that the nearly 500 verses of hate in koran are in fact "pefect" and can be never criticized.

Also...later teachings and dictation by muhammad (since he was illiterate) abrugates any "peaceful" verses you may find.

But go ahead and show me one religious group other than islam that holds a weapon in one hand and their "holy" book in the other.
