All I can say is it's STILL blizzard conditions here. Now it's coming off of Lake Michigan big time.
Just checked the weather channel and we've got about a foot today so far. That's on top of the foot or so we got yesterday.

I'm losing the war when it comes to shoveling.:(

We got around 20'' on this this of Lake Michigan. They have only managed to plow one lane of the two lane roads. The shoulder lane keeps blowing shut. I've never seen so many stranded cars. That was fun.

Science "is an enterprise that builds and organizes knowledge in the form of testable explanations and predictions". That is not something you "believe in". That is something you learn.

Funny. Even though the vast majority of scientists have done exactly that, you and your ilk choose to "believe" otherwise anyway.

BTW, are any of the sceintists meteorologists? Or are they the ones who manipulate the data? Funny, though. Even if I cannot spell it, I is one

On NPR today a scientist was being interviewd. He started with "Global Warming" then reffered to it as "Global Climate Change" by the end of the interview it was "Global Weather Variation" but of course the interviewer never called him on it. He admitted that as recently as 10 years ago the global warming crowd was using warmer than average winters as "absolute proof" of global warming. Now the "science" of dr moen claims a blizzard is proof or global warming. What gives?

Just a few years ago, they were telling us snow would cease to exsist, ROFLMAO

Anyways, it actually froze in Scottsdale Az today, look at my facebook pic !!!!

Global warming is a scam designed to sell you air ( carbon credits ) just like they sell you tap water in plastic bottles.

TomC, if you dig into global warming like you did 9/11, you would really supise all of us, please do it. Start by following the money, like any good forensic detective would do.

"Global warming" persists with the academics because merely mentioning that it is fake within the community makes you an outcast. (from personal experience).

It persists within business due to the amount of money that can be made with "green" products.

It persists with the consumers because it is "in".

I would go as far to say that it is a taboo to mention global warming is fake where I am at. It is truly insane.

I am not really up on weather or climate or global warming but I did read something a while back that made sense to me (for both those that try to use current weather conditions to prove or disprove global warming)...Weather is what happens over the next 5 to 10 days. Climate is what happens over the next 5 to 10 decades.

Propagandist in chief-Owl Gore has came out and said that all this snow is because of global warming. ‘Global warming’ or is it ‘climate change’ or how bout ‘global cooling brought to you by global warming’. What an idiot or maybe not. He has a considerable financial stake in the success of his own propaganda, and that's what this is about. While he wants to tell us that scientists were warning us 20 years ago that the snows are gonna get even worse like we have never seen before, ten years ago the experts at Hadley were telling us snow would become so rare that it would be something children will not even recognize.

Anti-capitalist, it's all they are, just another anti-capitalist movement, pro-socialist, pro-Marxist, pro-big government. And now here you've got Owl Gore, who pretends to be so scientific, seldom if ever backs up his assertions with actual documentation.

I haven't seen it yet but I was told there is video of Gore in the mid '90's claiming the US would be facing "scorched earth" within twenty years due to global warming. Well, it's roughly 15 years later and we have blizzrds & record low temps. Not much time for that "scorched earth" to present itself & prove the "scientists" right.

I have seen the “Doomsday clock” on this. It was started on January 27, 2006 and said we have 10 years to save the planet from a scorching.

    Countdown: 4 years, 11 months, 24 days

If you search for cases of global warming hypocrisy, you'll find all kind of funny cases...like Gore's personal residence using as much energy as nearly the whole town in which he resides, or the number of miles Gore puts on his personal jet each year or the global warming convention in Norway (or Sweden?) where they had to import limos into the country to satisfy the attendees. It's all just a greedy scam brokered by the left.

Glad I do not live there. A foot is about what we got and that is plenty.
Losing the war with the shovel you say? Try a snowblower!

Nobody in the scientific community argues that global warming isn't happening. It is pretty much agreed upon that by all indicators, the atmosphere is warming. The only controversy is whether the rise in temperature has anything to do with human activities.
What you have to believe to deny that we play a part in this situation is that the levels of several important greenhouse gases that have increased by about 25 percent since large-scale industrialization began around 150 years ago, and that during the past 20 years, about three-quarters of human-made carbon dioxide emissions were from burning fossil fuels, had absolutely no effect on our razor thin atmosphere. The ice caps melting at a rapid pace, glaziers disappearing around the world, and huge whether events from category 5 hurricanes to erratic weather patterns, droughts, and floods, are symptoms of the overall warming of the atmosphere.
To deny that our unearthing and burning of the earth's supply of fossil fuel is contributing to this process is not only putting you head in the sand, it is also likely to sunburn your ass at the same time. You have to ask yourself, in a petroleum economy, who is likely to have to change their behavior if global warming is the result of burning fossil fuel? Oddly enough, you just have to look at who is denying that there is a connection between their own industrial activities and global warming and you pretty much know who they are. It is simply profit before people again. Hard to believe eh?

I will not deny the atmosphere has warmed. I will deny that the change is significant and mostly caused by humans.

Do you know how much the earth has warmed in the last 100 years? 1.33 degrees F. You can't even feel that!

BTW, the figure is from the IPCC, not fox news.
