Steve, this is the point that many of have been making for quite sometime and it's interesting how you came to the same conclusion independently. If you really want to make a comparison to the Nazis, we actually are far more similar to their fascist model than Muslim splinter groups. We have a large highly industrial country, the biggest war machine, shrinking civil liberties, propaganda the Nazis themselves would envy, a small conservative minority with undue influence over our politics, a doctrine of preemption of war, military detainees in camps beyond legal boundaries. The comparisons are endless.

The statement that if you don't agree with what I say, you should leave the country has passed into history over here so long ago that it is primarily used in jokes these days. That is just how out of touch Midas is with the mainstream folks of this country. He always refers to the actions of Muslims and then labels them as animals. He obviously never learned the difference between a person's actions and who they are. I feel sorry for his kids. People can act many ways but be just as human as anyone else in other ways. Inhuman acts are committed by every type of person from time to time but we don't label all humans as animals the way Midas does. More black and white understanding from one massive tower of intellectual prowess.

Only because you ask the question, please show me where you find that I do any of these things.
    1) Show me where I said or indicated that I believed in any form of slavery.
    2) Show me where I said or indicated that I believed that peopel were property.
    3) Show me where I said that people who were blind or disabled should be shot.
    4) Show me where I said that anyone owed me anything.

This should take up some of your time, and give you a starting point the next time you post a reply.

I'm asking you Old Dan. You told a little story there where you compared the "American sheep people" to a bull you owned. Then you said he was shot because he was disabled. And the reason was that he was unproductive -- to you at least. You left the impression, and I questioned it. This will give you a starting point to post your reply.

That's right...Hitler declared war on the United States no differantly than "true" muslims who have declared war (jihad) on the United States and everybody else in the world that are non-muslim.

As for the similairites between Nazis's and "true" muslim animals, you easily find many "true" muslims who are drawn to the Nazi ideals, and it is not hard to find online pictures of islamic groups making the Nazi salute. Hitler's own Mein Kampf is TODAY a best seller in many islamic countries. Now why is that?

Even SS chief Heinrich Himmler was known to remark that he regretted that Germany had adopted Christianity, rather than "warlike" islam, as its religion, and there is a disturbing amount of twisted but very real logic in his remark. Beyond the obvious dislike of a certain other religion, we have the plain fact that both Nazism and islam both openly aim at world conquest.

Both islam and nazism demand the total subordination of the free will of the individual – remember...the very word "islam" means submission and surrender in arabic to their allah (or else!)

Both islam and nazism are explicitly anti-nationalist and believe in the liquidation of the nation-state in favor of a "higher" community: in islam the umma or community of all believers; in Nazism the herrenvolk or master race.

Both islam and nazism believe in undemocratic leadership by a privileged knower of an absolute, eternal, and ultimately mystical truth: the caliph or führer respectively.

This is "true" islam and you can't handle it.

Well I would not dispute the similarities there was a Muslim SS Division in the German Armed forces, what I do raise again is your use of the same methods to brand all those who disagree with you as somehow been less American than you are? I honestly do not know how you can justify calling for people to leave there homes because they have a different view point to yours, Is this not what the Muslims want, what Hitler wanted, what Stalin & Mao, Bokasa, Amin, Papa Doc and numerouse others strived for?
I am all for taking the fight to the Enemy but I am not about to start rounding up any Muslim who lives in this country and throwing them out, once you start that rout there is only one end, nor am I about to try to silence critics of my Goverments policies god alone knows I have critisised them enough myself LOL Iraq is wrong, it is a war some 10+ years to late & we shoudent be there. Afghanistan is right we need to clear it out as we also need to clear out Saudi and a couple of other places.

Think of it as yelling "fire" in a crowded movie. I don't believe that anybody's 1st amendment rights should be silenced, but then again, if this country is sooooooooo freakin' bad and you would rather live under a socialist government run by liberals...then LEAVE. It sure is better than listening to them wine and cry about it without offering any solutuons in lieu of income tax redistribution.

After awhile, you just get tired of these people that are so anti-this and anti-that with nothing to offer!

The same for islamic terrorism...I believe in taking the fight to these animals (there...I said it again because when the shoe fits...) and on the other side, they have NO will and backbone to fight these muslim animals.

So if life is sooooooo bad to these people in the United States and they can't stomach cameras at city intersections (so much for tying the other thread), LEAVE.

Otherwise, they should lay their cards on the table and let's see what they got! I have and I have NO problem doing so.

OK again where in your constitution does it say that you can not elect a socialist goverment or protest against goverment policy?, these are the things your country was founded on yet you wish to take these freedoms away from your fellow citizens!!
America is I belive a democracy, you do not live in a one party state so I would sugest to you that you accept that as a fact or perhaps you would feel more comfertable living in such a place like North Korea, thay are not Able to dissent from the party line either LOL
Dont feel nice when someone plays it back to you does it? this is what you give anyone who disagrees with you.

Well...I will fight tooth and nail against anybody who is hell bent on a socialist form of government where income redistribution is the norm at the expense of people that work, study harder, and produce more over others that sit home with their hand extended. Patrick Henry, Thomas Paine, Hancock, etc. are probably spinning in their graves to how big our government has become. But unfortunately, it is still not big enough for socialists and others who believe in the government first and foremost.

I will fight against anybody that believes in the government over the individual and I will also fight against anybody that will cave into muslims animals instead of dealing with this world's cancer.

America is NOT a democracy...it is a republic and it was designed that way because our founding fathers knew better than to let government rule by the way of a mob mentality. It is okay for you not to know that, but most government-schooled children (and adults) in my country don't know that either! Hence it is hard to have a discussion based on logic and rational with them...because their mind was never challenged to THINK and draw logical conclusions.

I will always stand for limited government, strong national defense and protection of my country's culture, traditions, and language anyday...anywhere.

    wow.

I'm going to bookmark that one for future use. Too much future ammo to let it go to waste...

Good job, De Orc. Now Midas is correct about the US being a republic. But he doesn't realize that he is the mob that we are protected against. Sometimes people become so blinded by their hatred of something that they don't even realize they have turned into that which they attempt to oppose.

Of course it is a rebublic, but do you know what a democracy is?

    Here is a little clue

Definitions of republic on the Web:

democracy: a political system in which the supreme power lies in a body of citizens who can elect people to represent them
a form of government whose head of state is not a monarch; "the head of state in a republic is usually a president"

Definitions of Democracy on the Web:

the political orientation of those who favor government by the people or by their elected representatives
a political system in which the supreme power lies in a body of citizens who can elect people to represent them

Now if you say this is not what America is, then I am shocked :D

Are you perhaps a Dictatorship or a Oligarchy I know that you are not a Monarchy of course you could be run by a Tyrant LOL

After reading this thread I think Midas was pointing out the hyprocracy of the individual who bad mouths everything the Nation is doing to, in this instance fight terror yet finds it good enough to call home and receive benefits from.

Please correct me if I'm wrong Midas.

The difference between a republic and a democracy as it is practiced (or was practiced) in the United States is a non argument. It is basically splitting hairs to seem like you are making a valid point to then go on and try to make some absurd point seem more credible than it actually is. Political scientists might be able to write volumes on the difference between a republic and a democracy but for all practical purposes, they are essentially the same in modern language given their most common usages.

Yes...one of many points I have made. You can bad mouth the country all you wish, but wouldn't it be refreshing to hear what socialist-liberal-appeasers WANT and HOW they will go about doing it.

OK, we get it...you hate Bush...for the life of you, you have been anti-this and anti-that from day one. So let's SEE what you really want. Go ahead and tell us!

Now don't sugar coat it. If you wish to 'redeploy', use the term surrender and if you wish to "invest" in more goverment at the expense of somebody else, call it what it is: raising taxes!

Don't be shy! Stand up for your convictions (requires a spine)...enlighten us!

My post was in response to Moen who was in conversation with Midas:
I take this as his wanting to talk about livestock and their possible usage.

So I told the story about an old black bull that I used to have. Again just talk about livestock and their use. Simple as that, and no hidden messages anywhere.

Guess you city slickers should stay within the city limits and leave the ranching to those who know what they are talking about. Now don’t tell me you are a vegetarian and go report me to the ASPCA.

Nothing wrong with a nice bit of Beef in my opinion, or pork for that matter LOL Midas what was your view of Clinton, or Carter? did you agree whole heartedly with there policies?
Me I never have totaly agreed with any goverment we have had this side of the pond, certainly not the lot we have in at the moment LOL but that does not mean I should pack my bags and leave, this is why we have elections :smile

This should be good! I'll wait to see what these .............come up with. As a side note, did any of you happen to see how FEW people had any real argument against the ten (10) threads I posted on "what is great about America". But by contrast, the number of moaners and groaners who simply cant find anything to say "good" about the place, without making some wise side comment.

Like you say, this should be interesting. I'm awaiting the first post made to compliment America.:hail:

Well, I'm vegan, and personally I'm glad you were able to put that nasty, brutish bull out of it's misery. A worthless creature like that shouldn't be allowed to live out it's life in peace, heck no. Good thing animals don't feel pain, right? Hey, and I'm sure it made you feel like a real tough man to shoot it in the head, too. Talk about satisfaction.

Hypocrisy is in the eye of the the beholder. I can explain why all of you guys' assumptions are sheer fantasy and self-aggrandizing tripe and you will simply misconstrue my meaning or ignore the answer you just asked for.

To my knowledge, no poster in this entire forum, "bad mouths everything" the nation is doing. Nobody has ever expressed that sentiment here but that hasn't stopped you guys from assuming it anyway. Instead of concluding that there may be areas of the government that some of us may find objectionable, you leap directly to the absolute statement that anyone who disagrees with any of your points hates EVERYTHING about America. This just simply isn't true and if you actually put any thought into it, you'd realize just how dumb such an assumption actually is and slap yourself on the forehead. This practice may be just an effort to reassure yourself of your own moral superiority or just an inability to see yourself as anything but right. I don't really know, I'm not a psychologist, go shell out 40 bucks an hour and find out for yourself.

I also don't believe that any of you are really interested in other perspectives and only wish to feed your own egos all under the guise of being rational debaters. You clearly don't have the foggiest clue as to how to debate a topic and wouldn't survive the rules real debaters are regulated by.

You call bad mouthing this nation or pointing out the problems we face as well as bothering to live here a hypocrisy as if no one had the right to question the government of this country that is supposed to be for the people, by the people. I suggest that you've lost sight of our basic right to voice our dissatisfaction with our leaders right at a time when we should be as vocal as possible. I would say that it isn't a hypocrisy as much as it is an irony that you should be pointing out, if you really had a clear sense of what America is all about. Your inability to tolerate any dissension from your country's official line makes you guys scary citizens and could have considerable consequences for the rest of us. Any wonder we find your attitude appalling?

If you will reread this post you'll notice I didn't have to label anyone an appeaser, or a Liberal, or a whiner to make my points. That is the difference between a debate and what you guys do. In a real debate, you guys would be booed off the stage half way through your first point.
