    That is when WWII ended - at least according to craig a. He had stated that WWII was less than 3 year long, so his "proof" was;

    I never learned what happened April 18, 1942, but he did state that;

    I guess, just to add to his confusion, the subs we sank at Pearl Harbor and the planes we shot down at Pearl Harbor either did not kill anyone or they were not our enemy.

    Anyway, if he can change that much history just to prove a point, you have not a chance of dissuading him of anything.

    Ok. Here ya go. We werent at war on Dec.7 1941. War was declared Dec.8, 1941. So the Japanese werent our enemy until then. Or is a war when you say its a war? What I did say was that we didnt have troops in engaged until 1942. 1942 from 1945 leaves what? 5? I said the U.S. not Europe. And I was wrong. VE day was May not April. And I believe I said ..We beat the greatest war machine since Alexander The Great. But I dont remember. I was referring to the Nazis. So I know that WWII started in 1939, but we werent fighting in it until 1942. Yea WE. US. The United States.

    I guess you couldnt do the..I will if he will thing, huh?..Figures. (Did you really count the words?). The last thing I need is a guy like you trying to give me an ultimatum. Why be so petty? Never mind. You read my answer. But I'll be gracious and let you get the last word in. Because I know how important that is to people like you.

    Also, if you go look you will find that I told you VE day May 8th before you told me that crap about April 9th. Here is your original statement;

    So you admit you were wrong? We (the US) were in the war more than 3 years and, IMHO, we (the US) probably would not even have won the war were it not for the Russians, Brits, French, Canadians, Australians, Chinese, Philippines, etc. and so on.

    I need a little help finding the ultimatum that I posted in this thread. Can anyone help me find my lost ultimatum?

    In effect...we sank our own ships by baiting the Japanese and then allowing it to happen. Seems I've read that 'allowing it to happen' phrase somewhere before in more modern times as well (thought I'd add this thought just to clarify the facts).

    Sorry, but you missed 1945 - was the day the US knew it had the Nazis beat.
