Harriet Miers controversy

    I keep reading that the righties are not behind Bush's Supreme Count pick. I know that there is no shortage of righties here, so lets hear what you think.
    Personally I think he could have done worse with a Bork type. HM may slip by and provide a nice middle ground (stealth liberal?).

    I find if funny when the left protrays Bush as a right winger. He is not even a conservative and I would say that he is not even a moderate. If he was a democratic, I am sure Rush would be calling him a bleeding heart liberal spender. But what is different about Bush is he does not tax and spend but takes out loans and spends. There is nothing conservative or moderate about that. So if Bush is not a right winger and not a conservative, and not a moderate, what does that make him.

    My friends who are TRUE conservatives did NOT vote for Bush

    I wasn't happy but I figure what choice I had. The democrats are saying vote for us we not Bush. I think what they don't get is people voted for Bush for he "claimed" he wasn't a democrat. The Dems need to put up a conservative candidate but those primarys tend to be controlled by the left wing element.
