Happy birthday, sylvester... I don't know if # 21 means anything in the UK, but that's a particular birthday, here in the states. Enjoy!
It's one of the bigger numbers here, more important than 20 for instance. Goes back to the time when 21 was the age to vote, being accepted as fully adult etc. But all of those things; drinking, smoking, voting, driving etc. Were lowered to 16-18 years long ago. 16 for betting and smoking, 17 for driving, and 18 for everything else. But i guess 21 just kinda stuck. Needless to say since it's a biggish one i'll be celebrating the best way i know how and that's by filling the coin cabinet...
21 !!!!!!! I can't even remember 21!! Or 30!! Or 40!! Heck I can't even remember last time I went to the.... I forgot. No matter how trivial, have a great birthday and have a Guiness or 2.
Happy birthday,Sylvester. When I was your age,I was serving as a part-time constitutional ally to Sir Michael Hardie-Boys,who was the Governor-General of New Zealand at the time.He & I have kept in touch since he retired back in 2001. Aidan.
