Greatest rescue mission never filmed

I agree that these people were remarkable and their response to this event was often heroic. I would pay to see a high quality movie showing this, sure. Whatever the cause of 911 there is no diminishment of their heroic actions.
You seem to be saying that questioning the official story diminishes or besmirches their heroic actions and I could not disagree more with that (if that is what you are saying).

 

There are those who attacked Bush by blaming him for not preventing 911 happening.
There are those who attacked Bush for his shocked reaction and slow response to when 911 was happening.
Yet
Bush's support by polls show that defending the nation is his greatest suit.

So if Bushes numbers are based on him defending the nation against terrorism why not
attack him as being the terrorist. Why lets make some videos, put up some websites and even have a hollywood movie based in England showing a dictator that makes up phony terrorist to surpress the people. I believe it is called V.
All this as one of many psychological warfare efforts to undermine the American will to fight against the real terrorists nations and is supported by those who would attack Bush blindly just for the sake of the attack for they have their own agendas to push.

Which gets to the point of Leftywood would make a movie bashing America every chance they get be it the white racist, the imperialistic CIA, the nasty bankers and wall street brokers, the drugged up pimp singing minority, the bully drug dealing murdering cop, etc... but they would not make a movie showing the bravery of everyone of all colors and political backgrounds who came together during and after 911. 25.000 people were saved because of it. There was no bumb rush down the stairs. Instead civilians, police and firemen all went back in and up the steps to get those who were hurt so no one would be left behind. Not all of them got to get back out. Lets not cheapen their glory of giving their life for the life of a stanger with lies and misdirection. This subject should be about prevention with not letting it happen again and honour of what those Americans did that day.

 

There is actually evidence of this:

1. In PM Winston Churchill's WWII series, he stated that FDR knew about the attack before it happened. On pages 602-603 specifically.

2. Various researchers going through files released due to the Freedom of Information Act have found evidence of this, like Robert Stinnet, author of "Day of Deceit", great book btw.

3. The families of the disgraced officers(Husband Kimmel and Walter Short) in charge at Pearl Harbor have said this all along.

4. It was a well known fact that U.S. intelligence had cracked Japanese codes(hence the Midway victory), so why wouldn't they have known about the attack. They did! See http://www.independent.org/newsroom/article.asp?id=408

Getting indignant about it is a waste of time. Doing something about it, on the other hand, is worthwhile.
This also shows that government can NEVER be trusted. That is why the founders of America put so many checks and balances into the system. Unfortunately, with Bush's usurpation of power, those checks are simply ignored, on the pretext of "protecting national security".

In addition it turns out that New York City lost 105 billion dollars in the months following 911 in revenue.
In addition it turns out that 7.5 billion dollars is needed to repair the lower manhattan subways.
Never mind the losses that the airlines took and the domino effect on everything else around the nation.
Never mind that the Trade Towers themselves were estimated to be worth around 12 billion dollars.

This was a major financial disaster that could have led to a mini- depression if there was a panic run on Wall Street and that investment money went overseas.

Now what US President wants to be a President during a recession never mind a depression.

But keep up your mindset CraigG and others and instead of fighting terrorists, fight your own government be it democrats or republicans and perhaps in your life time you will be bending over three times a day praying to mecca.

Fighting my own government? How terrible!
Look at Rwanda, Uganda, Vietnam, Germany, Russia, North Korea, Iraq... the governments that have killed millions of their own citizens. Know who the White Rose group was? They were a few college kids who dared to speak out against Hitler's Nazi regime, distributing anti-Nazi pamphlets. Sophie Scholl was executed after a sham trial, and most of the rest were killed. Face it, government is, and always will be a threat to its citizens.

America was supposed to be different, a country were the government worked for the people, or else they got booted out. Like the communists, certain people pulled a "divide_and_conquor" on us and while people were squabbling over republicans and democrats, the real problems were ignored. I'm not a republican or a democrat, I'm an AMERICAN.
Unlike the terrorists waving Mexican flags in the streets, I'm a PATRIOTIC american.

Unlike Moen and Danr, I want the government to stop taking away our freedoms and leaving our borders unsecured whilst they fight wars with people who never did anything to us.

I'm sick of the U.S acting like the worlds' father, giving every country that hates us loads of the citizens money.

I'm sick of patriotic American soldiers being sacrificed to the agendas of politicians and bankers.

I've had enough of the government stealing my hard-earned wages and giving it to lazy 23-year-olds who can work but won't.

I can't stand our elected representatives that run slave labor camps on U.S islands and murder people who get in their way with impunity.

I'm stunned when our president can give military secrets to our enemies and pardon dangerous criminals.

I'm horrified at the way our justices free dozens of perverts and child-molesters, whilst Christians are dragged into court for preaching to sodomites.

...and so are many other people. And we're not going to stand for much more; so beware, Clintons and Bushes and Kennedys and other people trying to destroy the U.S.A, you are treading on quicksand.

p.s I don't care if Moen or Danr or any of you is a conservative Protestant Minister or Satan himself, if you are an American citizen it is your job to be a good one; and that means you don't just critizise and tear down, you do something to change what is wrong.

Currently I am just trying to fight the battle of the buldge.
You would think having young kids and a young wife would keep me in shape but I think my upper body strength has slipped downward to my midsection.

As for being anti-government, we need government just like we need religion.
People need structure or we will have caos. The trick is to keep both in line
and defend against those that are not.

I wouldn't think of religion as something akin to government; governments fall(like ours soon will), but religions are going to be here till the end of the world.

I am not anti-government either, but I am distrustful of it. Governments should only be needed to defend the country, the individual states can take care of the rest. As someone(guess who) once said, absolute power corrupts absolutely; so don't give anyone absolute power, or even a lot of power.
