    Hello everyone.
I 'm trying to putting a set of Silver eagles 1986 to 2005 that are graded MS 69 and by NGC. Is it best to have the mint mark on them or not.
    Need feedback?
    Thanks Kenny G

They only come one way (each year) in MS condition and that is they are all minted in Philadelphia.

In proof form, they are minted in San Francisco from 1986 to 1992, in Philadelphia from 1993 through 1999 and in West Point, NY from 2000 to present.

    Kenny G,
Standard Silver Eagle do not have mint marks. Only some of the proof issues have the "W" which denotes West Point Mint.

    Midas,

All silver eagles are minted in West Point now.

    Only if they are proofs.
Graded silver eagle coins are nothing but government issued coins graded and encapsulated by a private third party service like PCGS, NGC, ANACS. Uncirculated silver eagles have no mint mark added by the government and therefore the grading company does not/cannot add any mint marks.

As Carson used to say, "I did not know that" with a stupid look.

    Thanks, I learned something
