I agree with Jack we are starting to see similar things over here with Dr giving every test under the sun to cover themselfs from claims by disgruntled patients!!
I think you are missing what I am saying Craig, we over here in the UK are starting to see a number of cases of litigation from patients whos Dr's have missed a problem therefore the cost of medical care rises as the cost of insuering Dr etc goes up. Now Dr are the same as any one else they will try to protect there backs by testing for everything under the sun, this in turn also drives up the cost of medical care. I also think that this is the point Jack was raising. You have no way of knowing which patient will try to sue you though so how do you refuse to treat them?
Yes but doctors here(not specialists but P.C.P.s and G.P.s) have protection. They have disclaimers that there diagnosis is a general opinion and not specific. Arizona Jack knows that also.
