3/26/09 gold was about $1090 spot , 10/1/2010 spot gold 1318.60 . Your President spent 1 Trillion dollars in the last eighteen months. More than all Bills signed into law for the entire time the USA has existed. This will be a time that will try our system. Thomas Jefferson said to paraphrase; America may not get it right one time, but they will fix it. The system is new and will take many years to refine it. We believed one thing but got another. A chance for a black man to be President was a showing of justice and forgiveness. People thought that we could walk away from the past. Our parents or grand parents were immigrants, not slave owners. We fought a civil war over many ideals, control and money. What we received was a Chicago man who was born of Communist parents, mentored by a communist, went to school and sought out like minded people. Spent twenty years in a Black Theology church but never heard a word of what was said. These are Mr. Obamas own words . His book "Dreams of my Father " spells this all out. Communists and Socialists are about the same. They think they know, and are smarter than all the people of the land. When some one talks about social justice , rather then individual justice that is not what we are about. Social freedom in not what The Constitution talks about Individual Freedom was and still is our goal. Small Federal Government , with states rights at the top. This has been eluding us for a while.States came first ! States have law suits against the federal government for land grabs. Utah,Wyoming& Montana are three of many. The Feds grab land for so called national parks. This gives them all land rights. It is against the law of the land. The say we have no oil. That would be 'We have no oil that we will let you drill for or shale oil or tar sands. We have no coal ,clean coal. found in Wyoming and Montana. The feds hold more than 60% of Utah hostage as a Federal Park. We are unable to drill in the gulf now and have lost 23000 jobs. We gave Mexico rights and 2 Billion dollars to do so. We gave Brazil also 2 billion dollars to drill in water twice as deep as the leak of B/P. This is redistribution of wealth or SOCIALISM. It has never worked anywhere , any time. Fidel Castro after 50 years has proclaimed Communism a failure. Health Care is not about Health or Care. Much of what you see is coming from that bill.it is 2700 pages not written by congress or read by congress but signed by the President. It was written by a socialist think tank. We need oil as a transition product 80% of what is in our personal Inventory ,homes cars etc is petro chemical. We are currently not prepared to make a large move at one time.It took Brazil twenty years to go ethanol. Mr. Moen you shall have a very bad day soon ! Pepl
Why do you call his Mother and Father Communist? Who was the communist who mentord him? I thought he spent his early life in Hawaii then Indonesia then back to Hawaii And after graduation went to LA in 79 then on to NY in 81 moving to Chicago in 85 So he isnt realy a Chicago man either is he! Oh and I thought he was the President of ALL Americans after all he did win with a rather large Majority of the vote did he not (Or do you not believe in the validity of your own voting system unless your candidate wins?)
What does this have to do with gold? And doesnt the Constitution start with ''We the people''? Thats sounds like a group(social) and not individuals.
Read the book ! All Americans are not retired or have time to decipher whether someone is a shill or the real deal. They gut vote, or tell them what they want to hear. Incumbents always get more votes when things are not in turmoil. Most never believed what has happened over many administrations. Many become specialists who know, or were taught, to do things but not how to think. I look back at the V/ Nam war and see the pitfalls of politicians managing a war that should have never been fought. I remember where I was, and what I was doing when JFK was assassinated. People only said not here, not in America what went wrong. What it had do do with gold was the MOEN prediction of gold and the future over a year ago. No one knows the future but when certain items a cross referenced you can get a reasonable picture of what is going on.
Sorry but what does any of this have to do with your assertion that his folks were Communist or anything else for that matter? Also I think you might find that your Civil war showed that the Fedral Goverments wishes supeseeded those of the Individual states Read what Book? He wasnt the Incumbent when he won the Presidential race!! The JFK assasination was not the 1st of a sitting American President the only difference was it was the 1st to be telivised therfore had a greater impact Sorry but your posts are making no sence whatsoever
Because his parents were Communists. Read the Book Mr. Obama wrote" Dreams of my Father" He outed all his knowledge of what he thought was perfect, Socialism .
Obama’s mother attended a radical, communist-leaning church known as “the little red church on the hill.” Obama’s mother attended a radical, communist-leaning high school where she was taught the Communist Manifesto and which had a communist school board chairman and which had several communist teachers on staff. Obama’s mother was called a “fellow traveler” by her friends, which is code for communist sympathizer. Obama’s father was a Marxist — an anti-colonial Marxist — not the kind of Marxist that you found in the Soviet Union. She was also anti-colonialist. She married Lolo Soetoro. He was a capitalist. But she didn't really know that. That's why Barack was sent away. He was sent away to Hawaii, to her parents. Grandpa decided that Barack needed a role model, somebody that he could really fashion his life after, a mentor, Frank Marshall Davis. Check out his FBI file. It's pretty intense. So, this is the dad's writing. Mom sends Barack away because he's being influenced by somebody who is not a Marxist or an anti-colonialist, sends him to grandma and grandpa who sent him right to Frank Marshall Davis. These are the people that helped shape the Barack’s world view: a communist who had a ton of influence. And there is more influence than just his father. Now, we go to his mentors. Mentors are: Edward Saed. He's the guy at Columbia. He is a spokesman for the Palestinian National Council. So, he is an anti-colonialist. The colonial occupiers, if you will, are Israel. Another one is Roberto Unger. This guy is also the leading anti-colonial legal scholar. And then, of course, we have Reverend Wright, who — the book that Obama wrote, "The Audacity of Hope," comes from a sermon that this guy gave. Now, if you heard any of his sermons, they all include liberation theology, the idea of the oppressed and the oppressor. Now, the oppressed can be anywhere. They can be here. They can be Africa. They can be Israel. But the oppressors are usually Europe and the United States. And then, of course, Bill Ayers, sat with Barack Obama on the board of the Woods Foundation. Anti-colonialism. Remember the Weather Underground and their manifesto? It was anti-colonialism. That's what they all have in common. Anti-colonialism — the idea that there are colonizers and the colonized. There is America or Europe and then the Third World victims — oppressor and victims. All of these things are a fact. Now, you can decide they mean nothing, but they're all facts.
Is everyone attending that high school a communist, no I doubt it. Are you suggesting that everyone there is a non-communist? Fact: The school Ann attended, Mercer Island High School, was a hotbed of pro-Marxist radical teachers. John Stenhouse, board member, told the House Un-American Activities Subcommittee that he had been a member of the Communist Party USA and this school has a number of Marxists on it's staff. Two teachers at this school, Val Foubert and Jim Wichterman, both Frankfurt School style Marxists, taught a critical theory curriculum to students which included: rejection of societal norms, attacks on Christianity, the traditional family, and assigned readings by Karl Marx. The hallway between Foubert's and Wichterman classrooms was sometimes called "anarchy ally.
Ya know, youre making me look crap up. And I hate that. Foubert was radical for 1955. Why? Because he had his students read those commie books like '1984' and 'Atlas Shrugged'. He wasnt a commie. He and Witcherman wanted their students to question everything. So? Didnt you in high school? A hot-bed. If it was such a hot-bed, how is it it wasnt closed up?
Remember in America our schools are union run and they no longer have physical education, or teach real history.Past and present. Colleges are have been very left leaning in the last twenty to twenty five years. There are still good schools but you must seek them out. My two daughters ,both went to CAl State Hayward CA it was well endowed, with a good staff ,and more class selection. They went on to the Monterey Institute of International Studies for Masters.CAl State was good twenty five years ago. They were flexible and were always making new degrees for people who had a lot of credits. Both work for large companies in the private sector. In the U.S. Schools are going to be needing a major look. We spend 25K a year on 1-12 and half can not meet basic math and reading skills. This is more that any nation in the world, and it is obvious we are not in first place.
WOW! I just love to hear an “insiders” take on education. In other words, “I had 2 kids years ago and now I know everything about the educational system”. As a person whose entire career it is to training teachers and work with school districts in half the state, I can tell you where you make several really stupid assumptions. First of all, unions are a not-factor. They never come into play in any aspect of the educational process that I have ever seen. There are teachers unions of course but they don’t even show up as a blip on the radar of the problems the educational system faces when you compare them to unfunded political policies, budget cuts, the No Child Left Behind teaching to the test mentality, attacks from the Right wing establishment…In essence, we are short-changing our kids and blaming the system rather than the country’s commitment to educating our future leaders. You get what you pay for so blaming the victims and the people trying to do something about the problem is just doubly stupid. Physical education is required in this state….EVERY DAY!!! I don’t know where you get your information and figures from but my guess is that you are just making them up.
If you have not seen the California Teachers union you have a real treat in store. My cousin was a principal in CA for over forty years. We break bread from time to time. She has some great stories, and in the process of writing a book on the school systems of the 57 states. You ASSUME I only know what I write, never what I might know. No doubt you have never been in a branch of the Military. It shows. It is not for everyone but it was at one time. You do not always get what you pay for when corruption is in play. Life in not about perpetrators and victims . Music . PE and other items have dropped off the radar. Calling people names is usually a sign of general dislike of your own situation, and not knowing how to address it. Pep
Craig, If the messiah says its so, well it must be huh.............Maybe if more people had of viewed this before election 2008, we wouldn’t be in the mess we are in now. AND ONE MORE TO GO and still not been to Alaska or Hawaii….LOFL
Time had a decent article on school's and teachers recently. I was surprised by the tone of some of it (this is Time, after all, not some conservative magazine)... More than 85% of U.S. teachers have an education degree. But many ed schools are fusty, politicized institutions that seem designed to turn out reliable teachers'-union members rather than reliable educators. And their lecture halls aren't exactly brimming with overachievers. According to a forthcoming McKinsey & Co. study, just 23% of new teachers in the U.S. come from the top third of their college classes; 47% come from the bottom third. In other words, we hire lots of our lowest performers to teach, and then we scream when our kids don't excel. At almost every other school in the country, such flexibility and professionalism are inconceivable because of teachers' union-negotiated contracts, long-standing education-culture norms or, in some cases, state law. Sometimes on purpose and sometimes by accident, teachers' unions have a long history of working against the interests of children in the name of job security for adults. And Democrats in particular have a history of facilitating this obstructionism in exchange for campaign donations and votes. http://www.time.com/time/specials/packages/article/0,28804,2019663_2020590_2020592-1,00.html I also learned about the Teacher Rubber Rooms (that are apparently now being or are closed).
