Because it doesn't matter how they climbed the ladder; what matters is the place that they ended up (candidates for federal office) and how they behaved once they got there. Some people preferred that Palin took a less traditional path into office. Her path into office does not make her less intelligent than Clinton, nor does it make her inferior.

And why do you continue to focus on Palin rather than on global warming? Is Clinton or Palin somehow responsible for global warming? If not, then why are they even being talked about?

Oh, perhaps it's the "exploitation of elected office for personal gain" aspect. No one can deny that "Old Sniper Fire" Hillary has certainly enriched herself through exploitation of elected office. Didn't she drop the Senate seat in NY like a hot potato (thereby leaving her constituents who elected her high-and-dry)? Of course, she did. She saw a cushy and more profitable gig as Secretary of State. She would have preferred more power (and prestige... and money) as Prez, but democrats had a moment of clarity and voted against her in the primaries (but, actually I wish they'd shown their usual stupidity and voted for her instead of the train wreck named Obama - but, that's another story). Yeah, Old Sniper Fire has it made, thanks to exploitation. Oh, and being married to a liar cut from the same cloth, of course.

So, Palin pretty much followed the path most blue-collar folks would have to follow instead of the silver-spoon, Ivy League lifestyle Clinton lived? You are a hypocrite. One one hand you drone on about how wealthy white people have all these advantages yet you celebrate Clinton who is obviously exactly the type you typically rail against. Palin, on the other hand, is a self-made success story who was one of the most successful governors on record. The left loves to talk about her looks, her accent, her kids, etc but gets oddly silent when a substative discussion of her record come up.

Oh yeah, Clinton's NY senate seat was a political arrangement set in motion back when she was still supposed to be the nominee.

    And on the plus side, Palin;
Has nothing to do with Whitewater.
Has nothing to do with filegate.
Has nothing to do with travelgate.
Has nothing to do Vincent Foster.
Has nothing to do Webster L. Hubbell.

Sarah was a grass roots person who was attacked, whose family was attacked including her baby who was born with challenges. Any normal person who is not high on power would say f this and take legal clean money. Your post is 100% on the mark but there are people who hate for they like to hate and she was painted by the left as the target out of fear for she was the real deal. Not the smartest, but a real person who wanted what was best.

Face it! The only thing that Palin and Clinton have in common is that they are both women. That is a deep as their similarities get. That is the only reason you tossed out Clinton not because there was any other reason what so ever to compare them. And honestly, that is why Palin was such a dog of a candidate. She was nothing more than a Barbie Doll dressed up like a candidate, told what to say and when to say it, and when she couldn't even do that she became just a pretty mouthpiece for the extreme Right-wing agenda. There is no comparison here. But when all you see is a gender, you lose any substance your argument might have had. Try comparing Palin to someone on the Left that had the same reality T.V. rise to celebrity Palin had and I might buy the comparison but Clinton rose to the top because she was immersed in politics her whole life while Palin fell into the job after her beauty queen gig was ebbing. Even the majority of the Right has recognized this by now slow as they were to the realization and Barbie couldn't be elected moose catcher in Nome Alaska these days. Big difference from Clinton the most popular woman in the country.

Studies show that half of the Global Warming problem is caused by super heated air generated by Liberals talking about Sarah Palin. ;)

When you have no argument, you usually throw out some racist remark, but in this case you've thrown out a sexist remark. That's truly pathetic. Yes, we know you are in love with Hillary, but take off your rose-colored glasses, man! She's a complete fraud who exploited elected office for her own personal gain.

    Global warming, global shmarming.

Yep, popularity rules with both Reagan and Palin... both suck, but both are popular. Wait a hundred or two years and see what people think of both of them. Popularity does not sway me like it does other idiots... it means little to me that people think Reagan or Palin are superior human beings... because I know they are not, IMO they are quite the opposite.

I can't speak for everyone, but my opinion of her is based on her speeches and performance as Governor. You consider her the real deal... I consider her something else entirely. I don't want what she wants for the country... IMO, what she wanted was not best... not by a long shot.

Well then lets recap. YOU brought up Hillary Clinton, I didn't. You compared her to Palin because as I've pointed out, the only thing they have in common is that they are both women. Very sexist of you. Hillary Clinton is still serving in public office while Palin is making millions not serving in office, but for some reason you think Clinton is exploiting her position for personal gain but you can't say how she is doing so. Hum? Somebody is in love with Caribou Barbie me thinks.

What makes Palin less intelligent than Clinton is that she IS less intelligent than Clinton. Clinton did the hard work that comes with being intelligent, experienced, and knowledgeable about the issues. She severed on committees, boards, and volunteered to work campaigns across the country. Palin pranced around in bathing suit gained the public attention in a small town and would never have done as well as she did without a pretty face because there is certainly nothing behind it.
Clinton has been an advocate for children by working for several organizations that protect children while Palin was punching out kids and ignoring them to the detriment of her daughter who turned out to be a teenage mother. Palin is far, far inferior to someone like Clinton in political savvy, knowledge, experience, and of course intelligence. Thinking that there is any similarities between Clinton and Palin is one of the most desperate reaches I have seen the Right (Okie) make in a long time. I understand why he'd want to compare the two. When you put anyone next to Palin, she automatically looks better just by the comparison alone. I have to also confess that I have never supported Hillary Clinton for any office. In fact, I always say that I dislike political dynasties whether they be Clinton or Bush dynasties. It just isn't health for the political system to eat their young.
