I bought my 1996 Ford Ranger used in 1998 in Annapolis, MD. Since then I've moved to Louisville (and while living there drove to Memphis, Indianapolis, and Atlanta), moved to western Pennsylvania and drove through their winters, entered the Navy and drove to training Newport, RI, and am now sitting in the public library in Camp Pendleton, CA. I drove the truck to all those places. The only thing I've ever had to replace are the usual items that wear out (fan belt, brakes, oil filters, etc.). "Trusty Rusty" still gets 20+ mpg and there's no real body damage. The engine does run a little dirtier than my wife's 2008 Saturn, and the "get up and go" isn't what it once was, but ...
