Fred Thompson leads the polls of Republican candidates. Fred could be the next President of the United States and he hasn't even thrown his hat into the ring, LOL... This could be a LANDSLIDE win for the GOP!

Do a little searching, I answered this same question for you a while back. Basically, he's for enforcing the laws which are on the books and ARMING the National Guard who are helping the Border Patrol.

 

I have tried to look it up and there is not much out there. There is not much out there of substance on this joker (just fluff).

 

If that is true he will have a hard time raising money. The money side of the GOP do not want that sort of policy.

I think the fact that he is leading in the polls and nobody has any idea where he stands on just about any issue speaks volumes about the Republican's chances in '08 and just how desperate the Republican party is to field a candidate that has a snowball's chance in hell of contending against any of the top Democratic candidates.

The presidential election is up for grabs. I think that the press is being anti-american by stating that the republicans don't stand a chance or only a few democrats can win it.

 

Fred plays a fictional character in his acting career, and he is a fictional presidential candidate. He's been "invented" by political handlers and focus groups to win the nomination and the presidency. But if he wins, the same group who presently control the Bush administration will run the Thompson administration.

Now comes the hard part: crafting his message. He will have to be careful to appeal to a conservative base while not stepping on any big money toes (that is a tough dance he is starting). for the time being let him enjoy his honeymoon.

 

Obama doesn't have much of a message either. He just makes certain people feel good. Just like most of the complaints about Thompson's proponents.
