France open Base in the Gulf

    Latest news reports say that France has opend it's 1st base in the gulf region since the colonial era. The base made up of three sites on the banks of the Strait of Hormuz, just across from Iran: a navy and logistical base, an air base with three fighter planes and a training camp.
    The base was opend by President Sarkozy

    Now we have all heard comments about the lack of any support from France in the past (Dispite there involvment in Afghanistan :D) do you think this is a move in the right direction?

    I realy love the way that you talk about your comrades in arms :eek: I remember reading such dispariging remarks also about your neighbours in Canada well guy's this might come as a big shock to you all but they are also fighting beside your soldiers in Afghanistan want to see the death toll so far for Afghanistan

    Now Germany changed there law so that they could send troops to join the coalition against the Taliban and that my Friends realy was a very big deal.

    My comments are purely in jest. Satirical really. Just using refrains from anti-American sentiment to a different country.


    I am aware of that. Stood in a number of Fallen Comrade Ceremonies there for soldiers counted in that list.
