Never mind the facts discovered in case after case that would support such a declaration. Isn't it reasonable for the media to report that these terror suspect's motivation might be related to Islamic Jihad? Oh...that's right. That hypothesis would tarnish an entire religion, an entire people. It can’t be possibly true—but even if it is true, it’s too troubling and unpleasant a truth to report. Right? Why connect the dots when you can continue to confuse apologists and never report the possible motive for such acts that occur almost on a daily basis around the world? I guess the media believes its better not to descend to the level of people who believe that Islamic terrorists have declared war against all non-Muslims, (against other "not-enough-Muslims" too), especially against those who live here in the United States and abroad. Sometimes the truth hurts, but let's not dance around the motive as to WHY these terror suspects act and carry forth as they do. I feel for the families as well like most sane people on this forum would. Midas. You could be right you could be wrong have you considered that possibility? Maybe we should let the "facts" come out before we say "Told You So" and yes the facts could be totally skewed. Course then they could actually come out as facts. Had dinner tonight with an Army recruiter (happens to be a good friend). He made no accusations against Muslims and he's recruiting people to fight them. Kinda makes one wonder doesn't it?

Reports out of Ft. Hood have it that this MUSLIM was yelling, "Allah Akbar!! (God is great in Arabic) as he was shooting up the place. The fact is clear...this was another MUSLIM who was killing in the name of his allah and his religion. - - Just like his terrorist/pedopile prophet muhammad - - Just like the 100's of passages of hate found in the koran - - Just like the 1,400 years of this madness. BTW...it was an "American" Sergeant Asan Akbar (MUSLIM TERRORIST) who lobbed three grenades back in 2003 into tents housing HIS OWN commanding officers from the 101st Airborne Division at Camp Pennsylvania. He seriously injured 3 and wounded 15 others. This MUSLIM was trying to kill his fellow troops!! It was not some rag head running into our base fighting our troops, IT WAS (SUPPOSEDLY) OUR OWN GUY!!! Please DO NOT INSULT OUR INTELLIGENCE that Islam was NOT a MOTIVE for carrying forth this islamic jihad attack.
David do you have any concept of what happens in war? there is no difference in someone throwing a grenade into a tent of sleeping soldiers to someone throwing a grenade into a dugout full of awake soldiers, no difference to dropping a few hundred tons of bombs on a town or launching a few cruise missiles into the heart of a city. People Die David, do I feel sorrow at there death of course I do but I am also a realist. The fact that the enemy uses such tactics is irrelivent we do as well. In the past week 5 British soldiers were killed while having a meal break in Afghanistan by a Afghan Policeman, do I mourne there passing once again of course I do, do I go round calling for the death of all Afghan policemen? of course not. Midas, he supposedly yelled 'God is great' only once. some folks I taled with read more about it today and think the guy just snapped. And what I read he has gone off the deep end before. I still think he planned it. And was sound when he started shooting. And the Feds arent trying to cover anything up. At least I dont think so. In hindsight though it seems kind of lame to only take out just a few troops in a room when he couldve waited and done even more damage over in Afghanistan KILL THEM ALL ANYWAY. F those ragheads.

Yep, you're the one I was expecting to jump in. And, hey...I didn't "edit" anything. I quoted!! I quoted a specific statement that I found repulsive and inexcusable!!
A couple of things about that... Everyone in a room like that or anywhere else would almost certainly be armed in Afghanistan. Not just a couple of cops but everyone. Also, they would probably be better armed than him. Not as sure about the Arny but, being an officer, he'd might have an 9mm and everyone else would have M16 and M14s. Also, the security and level of preparedness and alert would be much higher in a deployed environment. Not to say he couldn't do something like that grenade attack in Iraq. But that, by example, killed 2 and wounded 14 and this guy was able to kill 13 and wound 30 or more by attacking unarmed soldiers in a relaxed environment with heavy firepower.
