It's ironic that the one of us that is so into superstition, magic, and imaginary beings is the one that is labeling the other as "ignorant". How do you feel now that I have called your beliefs superstition and magic? Is it not ignorant to believe in things that don’t exist? Do you also believe in dragons, fairies, unicorns, and the God’s that sit atop Mount Olympus? If you don’t, why not? There is just as much proof of their existence as there is for God. Why are your beliefs so superior to mine or the ancient Greeks? Is it that the majority of people are on your side? I’m sure the majority of Greeks also believed in Zeus and his fellow gods but that didn’t make them real either. Be careful how you throw around the “I” word. You might actually be doing a little projecting. ~Are there too many Christians these days or too few lions?
please read what I wrote, I'm agnostic!!!! which means I don't believe in a god.....yet... In the last thread, I was telling you the common christain beliefs. Just saying that the way you want proof would be impossible, hence it would make your post ignorant. please read the whole thread over. stainless
I'm confused...do you believe in God or not?? This thread started with your declaration of atheism if I'm not mistaken and now you state "God is a spirit" ???
Uh-oh, this is making a turn, let's keep it friendly guys, lol. And btw, it wasn't just Jesus' bones that were missing from the tomb, it was His whole body, along with reports and eye-witnesses of people that saw Him. Phoenix
Hi Moen have to answer YES to your questions, Dragons are cool, Unicorns as well not sure about them all sitting on top of Mount Olympus though it might be a bit crowded
Well, it's good he's only talking about these, believe me, it could be worse. But then again, you know what I mean... Ben
I was joking about God's bones...obviously but I have to admit that stains response to me was a bit confusing especially the ignorant part. Maybe it was sarcasm that just didn't come through??? Anyway, for the record I’m a great big old non-theist.
Hey Steve! Well, there's England of course, we all know that the place is lousy with dragons and unicorns.
Who am I to argue with Einstein....? http://www6.comcast.net/articles/news-world-europe/20080513/einstein.bible/
But stainless, I'm confused too, atheism and being agnostic are two totally different things, right? And what makes you think there is no Trinity, lol? Phoenix
Agnosticism is often confused with Atheism. There are many kind of agnostics and some have no opinion and others believe that if there is a God, it isn't knowable. That hardly makes them Atheist-lites. They admit that they do not know the answer to the question of God but are unwilling to accept an answer on faith. Are you sure that you are an agnostic? You seem uninformed on the subject.
The past few days, I'm not sure of anything. One second I say "I am going to give god a chance." the next day I say "Well, look at this, god may not exist after all." BTW: Moen, sorry for calling your post ignorant. I didn't mean to be harsh, it's just that, christains can't provide you with the proof you want because the body of Jesus is gone (according to the bible). stainless
No harm done and I'm sorry if I've been a bit abrasive. Everybody has tough times and the best course of action is always to be supportive of each other and yet we never seem to lean in that direction. I hope that you find what you are looking for. Take care.
Thanks for clearing that up, I've always been confused on what a agnostic is, still am, lol, but it's a bit clearer. Phoenix
