I just wonder how many English people there are on this site.

This thread will help me find out.

Shaun Wright-Phillips staying at Man City it looks like after a £20M bid was turned down.

They're just holding him back, SWP a year with Chelsea, then into the World Cup, he would be twice the player he already is.

Now hes going to struggle at the bottom of the table with Man City.

I knew the NFL had something going on in Europe, though I am suprised to hear that there are town teams and some school teams.

I myself have 2 american footballs.

Dont know any of the rules though...me and my mates just either throw one back and forth to each other or play rugby with it.

Rugby seems interesting. Football without too many rules. Kind of like what we called "keep away" as kids.

I got this coin out of a dealers junk box almost 30 years ago. What is it?
It has a couple of cud die breaks above Queen Victorias head.

Whats his names found it out for you.

Did you know the English Premier League is the most watched sporting league in the world...Its shown in over 150 countries.

This is the trophy they play for...

My team Liverpool FC have won the league 18 times more than any other English Club.

Just 6 weeks ago we won the Champions League Trophy...The most watched tournament in sport...The Final this year was watched by nearly 2bn and has been billed as the best Final ever.

My team underdogs against mightly Italian side AC Milan...they scored in the 1st minute and we were down 3-0 at half time.
We then scored 3 goals in 7 minutes in the 2nd half, including a rebound strike on a missed penalty.

It went into extra time and in the last minutes our keeper pulled off the best save of the season.

We then won in a penalty shoot out and won the cup for the 5th tim in our history..only 2 side have won it more times than us.

Its also the way it happened...the luck we had through the campaign, the way it echoed our old wins...the last time we won it there was a new pope, and Prince Charles got married, all happened this year aswell.

Happiest moment of my life....then London won the olympics...just as great.
Best year of my life :D
