Does anyone know which state in US has the largest percentage of Libertarians?

For once you're right. But not because of why you think. They don't need to push anything through on the national level. There's already a law on the Federal books defining marriage as between one man and one woman. The law could be rescinded, or the courts could rule it unconstitutional, but the fact remains that until then, it's on the books.

Did you know that the Nazis in early 1930s Germany made similar blanket statements about the dangerous complacency of the average German to the Jewish "threat?" Who's similar to the Nazis now?

You know KLJ, maybe you can tell me why the religious right hates gay people so much. I used to think religion was about love but it only seems to be about hate these days.

BTW You're making my point about the religious right for me. The Nazis ascended to power by persecuting the Jews just as the religious right is using gays to aid in their rise to political power. Incidentally, the gays were also persecuted by the Nazis prior to persecuting the Jews as a way to rally support for their agenda. Various right wing fundamentalists have tried to re-write Nazi historical facts by saying that many of them were gay and thereby linking Nazis and gays. Nothing could be further from the truth but most of their congregations believe them anyway.

BTW..the "vast-right-wing-conspiracy" meetings are held on the first Tuesday of every month at your local post office (after hours). Bring your gun as all guns are invited.

Next month we will have a presentaiton on the proper use of using the Bible in the upcoming 2006 election. All tie-wearing-white-middle-class-Ford-pick-up-southern-men invited!

Actually they are held in the ever growing number of mega churches every Sunday of the year. For a person that opposes religious oppression, you can't even see it coming straight at you. Remember the lobster in the pot analogy? This isn't going to happen over night nor is this something that just arrived. It is far more insidious than that but is entering the mainstream like never before.

Moan has finally come up with a legitimate use for them! Now I won't be able to say they are absolutely useless. Thanks Moen, I knew we could count on you.:thumb:

You're far too old and corralled off from society to have to worry about any of this if you were so inclined in the first place. Climbing to power on the backs of any group of individuals was long ago proven to be wrong by the Nazis but that doesn’t mean people won’t still try to do it today.

I guess you are right on this account, as I've said the same thing when it comes to the methods used and the success of the Democrats and their 'use' of the black people in this country. I think you know very well what I mean, and now it's the Republicans turn to use the Mexicans. Neither party is immune to the practice.
