Man, I felt liberated the day I didn't have to wear a suit to work any more.

Good for you Peter. I commend you for doing the swat on the butt. Too many parents are afraid to do this these days.

Swatting the behind is not child abuse in my book. Far from it. There is a difference in beating a child and giving a swat on the butt when it is deserved.

I consider myself old-fashioned. I wear dresses instead of slacks and cover my head in church. I rarely swear and do not discuss certain topics in mixed company. I believe in being able to write and to speak well. I also believe in personal responsibility and honesty. And, I only broke down and started using a cell phone a couple of years ago when I moved into a house with no finished telephone plug thingies . . . that was an experience . . .

No I've always kept an open-mind to non-conventional thoughts, ideas and actions, so I don't think I'm old-fashioned.
Also I find that I rarely get emotional about my beliefs, but instead I believe in rationality and logic.

Well, I don't consider my self to old fashioned because I keep updating my self according to new fashion.
