Do liberals have egg on their face now?

It really is irrelevant whether there is one tape or one thousand tapes because they are from a time period where it has already been confirmed that Iraq had a WMD program in place. This was ten years before Bush's war began. It would be like the US finally getting around to invading South Africa today to end apartheid.

The more islamic radicals our G.I.'s are killing there...the less we have to deal with those radicals here on our soil. There is a World War and I thank God our troops are fighting against the worst scum on earth in their backyard than ours. Maybe these people will eventually join the 21st century. It is going to take a couple of generations to purge these radicals out from this Earth, but this fight HAS to happen...we just can't appease these people no more than when the West tried to appease the likes of Hitler and the Nazi party during the 1930's. Same type of animal, but there happens to be 1.2 billion muslims on this earth. Do the math and watch the actions of these people...not what they say!

There or here? You make the choice where the front line against fundamentalist islam should be fought.

You'd have made a great hitler youth. You were just born a few decades too late.

So are you saying that they had them 10 years ago then they decided they didn't like them anymore and gave them away to somebody? I don't think that a country that has developed nuclear powers, especially a country ruled by a radical maniac, would just make them disappear. You say they had a nuclear program. What happened to it? Where did they go? Who has them now?

Typical tactic with the name calling. I asked the question as to where do you think we should fight these animals? Here or there? I say we fight them there? What say you?

    Ol' Silver,

I mean exactly what I wrote; no more and no less. Iraq had a weapons development program in the 80's and early 90's. By the early 2000's they apparently didn't have the progams anymore. Nobody ever said they had successfully developed nuclear weapons. Reserch and production are different things. That is a product of your imagination, or reading things into a statement that just aren't there so that they fit your personal world-view.

You say typical tactic a lot as if it's all just boring to you and you've heard it all before and dismissed it all as irrelevant. Your mind is so closed on this topic that any point is just someone else's typical tactic. BTW I didn't call you any name. I was making a comparison between your attitude and the ethically blind and morally vacant Hitler youth of the 1930's and '40's. If you're going to dismiss an opinion as a typical tactic, try and get the tactic correct. I can't take your question seriously because I don't come from the place you live in...Fear USA.

You still didn't answer my question. I am no expert on this matter and I learn by asking questions from those who seem to have the answers. I think I am reading it right. You say they had a nuclear program and now you say they don't so to publically make such a statement then you would have to know what happened to this program and be able to support your statement. I am curious so again I ask. Where did this stuff go? If they had such a program, they had an awful lot of, lets call it...equipment. It doesn't just disappear.

Ol'Silver, Iraq apparently had a WMD program and now they don't. However, having a program is not the same as having successfully developed weapons systems or even having production facilities. Nothing disappeared, they just didn't get that far with the nuclear research and development before it ended. So there is no "stuff." There apparently never was much "stuff." In my opinion there are probably dozens of nations with WMD programs exploring the ways to develop nuclear weapons but not actually trying to assemble them. It is either too risky or too difficult to obtain the equipment. So it remains largely a paper exercise awaiting future developments. The genie is out of the bottle and it isn't going back in.

Still it just appears everyone on both sides of the WMD issue are just assuming an awful lot. Noone seems to be able to prove they had them and noone seems to be able to prove they didn't.

I think that many intel people believed they did have them and they(the Iraqis) wanted people to believe that they had them, but the truth is that they didn't have them, but they did want to have them. I guess you can say we called their bluff while insisting that their bluff was actuall a full-hand.

You have a Hitler-like muslim that has possessed WMDs, used WMD's, threaten to again use WMD's and thwarted years of inspections and 14 UN resolutions.

Let's put it this way, if you heard your window being broken as you were sleeping...would you have called 911 even though you didn't SEE the act of your window being broken? IF Iraq did attack us using WMD's that they did possess and used previously, liberals would have been calling for the impeachment of the President for NOT protecting the country. He was damned by liberals if he did and he would have been damned if he didn't.

I am glad he did...I am also glad he is taking the front line against muslim radicals there then here.

'Ol Silver, if you recall your logic classes in school, you'll remember that you can't prove a negative statement. You can't prove you never cheated on your wife. You can't prove that you never took illegal drugs in your life. Iraq couldn't prove they didn't have WMDs, so we attacked them. All we can go by is the evidence. The UN never found anything. The US never found anything. Saddam said he discontinued the programs, probably trying to save his skin. But the WMD issue isn't spoken about very often anymore. Now it's all about spreading "democracy," which happens to be a form of government held in disrespect by our founding fathers. The whole thing is just incredible! I never expected to live long enough to see my country destroyed from within like this.

They certainly had WMDs. The only question is at what point between the end of the last war and the fall of Saddam's regime did they get rid of them. Personally, I think the answer to that question will more than likely always remain a guess.

That's the problem, the government won't let the army go after the terrorists. Its just like Vietnam, with DMZ's(which of course the NK's violated whenever they wanted), places the Air force wasn't allowed to bomb, and people like Jane Fonda who went over there and told U.S prisoners to give up and tell whatever secrets the North Koreans were trying to get out of them, and then Miss Jane came back to the U.S
Why no trial for the treasonous woman??? She should have been executed.

Exactly right, Cloudsweeper! The whole spreading democracy thing is probably one reason everybody hates us. As if we have some right to impose this worthless form of government on other people!
