Great way to fight a war don't you think? Surrender?

Of course they don't state it like that. They call it a "pull out over 6 months". Just like increased taxes are call "investments in American". Same BS line. Most people with a brain can see through it. But then again, Dems target votes from the stupid people of our society so I'll give them credit for that. They sure know how to fan the flames of stupidity, racism and class warfare.

What happened to the democratic party? The party of my father and his fathers?

I'll tell you what happen. In 1968, the losers of society that tried to storm the Chicago Democratic Party Convention eventually shaved their beards, cut their hair ,and eventually infiltrated the party of Washington, Jackson and Truman. The democratic party reached out to these leftists and caved. Four years later, they nominated McGovern. This party has been going down hill ever since. Not one Democratic nominee or president since Kennedy has had the stomach to defend this country and take the fight to our enemies...not one! BTW...lauching missles at a empty warehouse on a Saturday night is NOT having the stomach to fight.

Just imagine if today's Democrats were fighting World War II? I can see the chants of "Wrong War, Wrong Place, Wrong Time". After all, Germany didn't attack us on December 7th, Japan did! Sure Germany declared war on us a couple of days later but so did islamic radicals with their jihad. They just didn't declare it as "formerly" as Hitler did!

Imagine battles like Iwo Jima, D-Day, the Battle of the Bulge IF they happened today. These were battles were thousands and thousands of US serviceman were killed. Today's democrats could NEVER handle it! They would try to get our enemy into therapy so we could better understand one another and share our "feelings".

Like it or not, the central front for the war against islamic radicals is in Iraq and Afghanistan. Mulsims from Pakistan, Syria, Iran and other "religion of peace" havens are pouring into Iraq to fight their jihad there. Am I happy how the war is being fought? Absolutely not! Personally, I would have made towns like Fallujhad a "parking Lot" instead of having our marines go house to house where they are exposed. Let me ask you a question? Where do YOU want to fight islamic terrorists...THERE or HERE!?!?!

So...you fellow democrats out there...your policy, history and actions (or lack of them) over the last 30 plus years are pretty clear. You have no intention of taking the fight to those that want us dead.

You have no spine...you are just what our enemy has ordered. They knew that your resolve (which is zero) could be easily broken and you are playing right into their hands. Shame on you!!

I am sure that Democrats like Washington, Jackson, Truman and Roosevelt must be spinning in their graves right now as they watch what you have done with their party.

    I agree with some of what you say;

Is the United States whether Republican or Democratic ready for a commitment on the level of WWIII? It means a clear policy and strategy, a draft, a HUGE national commitment to this endeavor, a WWII rationing-war mentality.

We have to risk going to war with many additional nations.. maybe even Europe or China. Would we risk it?

On the other hand is this the threat to our nation that Hitler, Tojo, Mussolini and even Stalin later posed to our country. 100 years down the line, we may regret these days.. we could have nipped this in the bud now.. just like Chamberlain goes to Munich. But will we?

I am not happy with politics in the this nation now, but, I'm not so sure it's just the democrats, I'm not so sure the republicans are up to tackle this either.

    *cheers* to our forefathers..

A side thought I had a dream the other night, similar to this. The U.S. government itself hired and supported terrorists to hit the nation in 12 places in the vein of 911. The purpose was to martial the U.S. for a similar war as described.

Rumor has always been that Roosevelt "allowed" in one form or another the Japanese to bomb Pearl Harbor to wake up the U.S.

The first was just a wacky bad dream, but is it possible.. some sort of the above combinations?

Guerilla warfare is a different creature than a WWII style war. I can not think of a way to prevail in a guerilla war with popular support (neither can anyone else). Our only hope here is to erode the popular support for the guerillas, unfortunately they seem to be eroding our morale.
This conflict depends completely on Iraqi attitudes toward USA, therefore everytime we wrongfully arrest, torture, or otherwise molest Iraqi nationals we lose the support of their entire kinship network (they have sizable kinship networks that go back thousands of years) and move closer to defeat. This battle is not being fought in the streets of Iraq it is fought in the minds of Iraqis. I do not see this ending well for anyone.
