I agree, some of these won't even create jobs and should be dropped, like these for instance:

Patrol car video systems Staffing of Police Officers Mobile command post Digital recording and transcription Forensic lab improvement project Ballistic improvement project Crime scene investigation mobile unit Public place CCTV enhancement GPS locators for patrol cars Information/intelligence display upgrade

 

Other than the staffing of police officers, I agree. Not necessary in an emergency bill that's supposed to be an economic stimulus package.

 

This is a site where you can vote on the importance of the projects. Obama made it clear that he was going to setup a website where people can give input on projects so that the money was spent where it was needed. THERE ARE NO PORK PROJECTS IN THE STIMULUS CONTRARY TO WHAT RUSH IS TELLING YOU.

I understand why the new clubhouse at the golf course is needed.

 

It's not a question of need, but rather who gets funding for what, just because someone in a town submits a request for a golf course clubhouse doesn't mean they are gonna get the funds for it... that's called OVERSIGHT AND ACCOUNTABILITY.

Bookmark Recovery.Gov , that page will soon show the projects and allow people to comment on them whether they are worthwhile or not, if they seem like PORK, then let the people say so.
