So what you are saying is that our two cultures are just incompatible and emotionally ratcheting up the rhetoric will serve no useful purpose or solve anything. Right? I can second that! :thumb:

And the numbers in my posts citing voting data, polls, etc., ALL support this.

These muslim animals have no intention of respecting other people's religions and the numbers are far greater than most appeasers believe!

A Letter from an American Airlines Pilot.

This well spoken man, who is a pilot with American Airlines, says what is in his heart
beautifully ...read, absorb and pass on....it's time to get answers from those who claim their Islamic terrorist members do not represent them..why are their leaders not LOUDLY AND FIERCELY AND CONTINUOUSLY condemning their visible murderous brethren. ~

    YOU MUSLIMS WORRY ME!
By American Airlines Pilot - Captain John Maniscalco

"I've been trying to say this since 9-11 but you worry me. I wish you didn't. I wish when I walked down the streets of this country that I love, that your color and culture still blended with the beautiful human landscape we enjoy in this country.

But you don't blend in anymore. I notice you, and it worries me.

I notice you because I can't help it anymore. People from your homelands, professing to be Muslims, have been attacking and killing my fellow citi zens and our friends for more than 50 years now. I don't fully understand their grievances and hate but I know that nothing can justify the inhumanity of their attacks.

On September 11, 19 ARAB-MUSLIMS hijacked four jetliners in my country. They cut the throats of women in front of children and brutally stabbed to death others. They took control of those planes
and crashed them into buildings killing thousands of proud fathers, loving sons, wise grandparents, elegant daughters, best friends, favorite coaches, fearless public servants, and children's mothers.

The Palestinians Celebrated, The Iraqis were overjoyed as was most of the Arab world. So I notice you now. I don't want to be worried. I don't want to be consumed by the same rage and hate and prejudice that has destroyed the soul of these terrorists. But I need your help. As a rational American, trying to protect my country and family in an irrational and unsafe world, I must know how to tell the difference between you, and the Arab/Muslim terrorist.

How do I differentiate between the true Arab/Muslim-Americans and the Arab/Muslims in our communities who are attending our schools, enjoying our parks, and living in OUR communities under the protection of OUR constitution, while they plot the next attack that will slaughter these same good neighbors and children? The events of September 11th changed the answer. It is not my responsibility to determine which of you embraces our great country, with ALL of its
religions, with ALL of its different citizens, with all of its faults. It is time for every Arab/Muslim in this country to determine it for me. I want to know, I demand to know, and I have a right to know
whether or not you love America .

Do you pledge allegiance to its flag? Do you proudly display it in front of your house, or on your car? & Do you pray in your many daily prayers that Allah will bless this nation, that He will protect and prosper it?

Or do you pray that Allah with destroy it in one of your "Jihads"? Are you thankful for the freedom that only this nation affords? A freedom that was paid for by the blood of hundreds of thousands of patriots who gave their lives for this country? Are you willing to preserve this freedom by paying the ultimate sacrifice? Do you love America ? If this is your commitment, then I need YOU to
start letting ME know about it.

Your Muslim leaders in this nation should be flooding the media at this time with hard facts on your faith, and what hard actions you are taking as a community and as a religion to protect the United States of America.

Please, No more benign overtures of regret for the death of the innocent because I worry about who you regard as innocent. No more benign overtures of condemnation for the unprovoked attacks because I worry about what is unprovoked to you. I am not interested in any more
sympathy... I am only interested in action. What will you do for America - our great country -- at this time of crisis, at this time of war?

I want to see Arab-Muslims waving the AMERICAN flag in the streets. I want to hear you chanting "Allah Bless America " I want to see young Arab/Muslim men enlisting in the military. I want to see a commitment of money, time, and emotion to the victims of this butchering and to this nation as a whole. The FBI has a list of over 400 people they want to talk to regarding the WTC attack. Many of these people live and socialize in Muslim communities. You know them. You know where they are.

Hand them over to us, now! But I have seen little even approaching this sort of action. Instead I have seen an already closed and secretive community close even tighter. You have disappeared from the streets . You have posted armed security guards at your facilities. You have threatened lawsuits. You have screamed for protection from reprisals.

The very few Arab/Muslim representatives that HAVE appeared in the media were defensive and equivocating. They seemed more concerned with making sure that the United States proves who was responsible before taking action. They seemed more concerned with protecting their fellow Muslims from violence directed towards them in the United States and abroad than they did with supporting our country and denouncing "leaders" like Khadafi, Hussein, Farrakhan, and Arafat.

If the true teachings of Islam proclaim tolerance and peace and love for all people then I want chapter and verse from the Koran and statements from popular Muslim leaders to back it up. What good is it if the teachings in the Koran are good and pure and true when your "leaders" are teaching fanatical interpretations , terrorism, and intolerance?

It matters little how good Islam SHOULD BE if large numbers of the world's Muslims interpret the teachings of Mohammed incorrectly and adhere to a degenerative form of the religion. A form that has been demonstrated to us over and over again. A form whose structure is built upon a foundation of violence, death, and suicide. A form whose members are recruited from the prisons around the world. A form whose members (some as young as five years old) are seen day after day, week in and week out, year after year, marching in the streets around the world, burning effigies of our presidents, burning the American flag, shooting weapons into the air. A form whose members convert from a peaceful religion, only to take up arms against the great United States of America, the country of their birth. A form whose rules are so twisted, that their traveling members refuse to show their faces at airpor t security checkpoints, in the name of Islam.

Do you and your fellow Muslims hate us because our women proudly show their faces in public rather than cover up like a shameful *****?

Do you and your fellow Muslims hate us because we drink wine with dinner, or celebrate Christmas? Do you and your fellow Muslims hate us because we have befriended Israel, the ONLY FRIENDLY CIVILIZED SOCIETY in the Muslim/Arab area, that thinks and acts like most Americans?

And if you and your fellow Muslims hate us, then why in the world are you even here? Are you here to take our money? Are you here to undermine our peace and stability? Are you here to destroy us? If so, I want you to leave. I want you to go back to your desert sandpit where women are treated like rats and dogs. I want you to take your religion, your friends, and your family back to your Islamic extremists, and STAY THERE!

We will NEVER give in to your inf luence, your retarded mentality, your twisted, violent, intolerant religion.

We will NEVER allow the attacks of September 11, or any others for that matter, to take away that which is so precious to us: Our rights under the greatest constitution in the world. I want to know where every Arab/ Muslim in this country stands and I think it is my right and the right of every true citizen of this country to demand it. A right paid for by the blood of thousands of my brothers and sisters who died protecting the very constitution that is protecting you and your family. I am pleading with you to let me know. I want you here as my brother, my neighbor, my friend, As a fellow American. But there can be no gray areas or ambivalence regarding your allegiance and it
is up to YOU, to show ME, where YOU stand"

It's not up to me to "accept" your status on this earth, to show you where I stand, but up to YOU to accept OUR status, wh ere I stand."

"Until then .. you worry me"

No...my conclusions have been based on the muslim population's ACTIONS and INACTIONS. All I did was reinforce my argument with more facts, more figures, more references, more history, and the very book of hate itself, the Koran...something you have failed to do as you defend those that follow the cult religion of islam.

The point I am making is that "true" islam is NOT followed by a handful of muslim jihadists and "true" islam has NEVER been hijacked. It is what it is. If you think otherwise, how in the world can "moderate (those NOT muslim enough) muslims" defend this?

On the fifth anniversary of the September 11 attacks, a survey conducted by Al-Jazeera (must see Arab T.V.) asked respondents, "Do you support Osama Bin-Laden?" A whopping 49.9% answered: yes.

That is just a hair under 1 in 2 Muslims support Bin-Laden, if you are having a hard time understanding this survey.

    Let me, help you...

You are quoting from the letter (American Airlines pilot) and he is willing to give the religion of islam a "hair" more benefit of the doubt. I believe we are well beyond giving in and appeasing these animals further more.

    ********************************

I'm a realist and I understand that it is NOT just a handful of muslims that are causing issues for the rest.

I also understand that this religion HAS NOT been hijacked as many appeasers would suggest...this IS the religion of islam and anybody that looks at the beginnings, the history, and what is written in the Koran followed by MILLIONS upon MILLIONS of "true" muslims literally can easily determine that my findings are correct and accurate.

The trouble is that many people don't think islam is a threat when 1,400 years of their history and actions prove otherwise. Now why is that? I find that VERY disturbing and those living in civilized western countries should take notice of this very real storm that is coming.

This would be NO differant back in World War II if you were defending the Nazis and the people of 1938 Germany...I choose to point out the obvious that this religion is indeed a religion of intolerance, forced conversion, enslavement, ransom and death (or else!).

Until we can better understand the enemy within and those abroad, well guess what? We may lose this war. I choose NOT to!

Yes it was taken from the pilot's text you whole heartedly agreed with. The Somali woman that wrote the book "Infidel" said in an interview the other day that, "Not all Muslims are terrorists but most all terrorism in the world today is committed by Muslims." Do understand what she means by this statement? Do understand why universal condemnation of Muslims is just not useful?

Universal condemnation (broad brush) of all muslims is a matter of opinion. Of course, I support my opinions and assertions with facts:

It is very easy to paint with a "broad brush" MILLIONS upon MILLIONS within the muslim community who support the animal acts of Bin Laden and/or wish Sharia law for their new countries.

The Arithmetic of Islamic Jihad makes it clear to paint with a "broad brush"

    • 25% of British Muslims said the July 7, 2005, terror bombings in London, which killed 52 innocent commuters, were justified.
    • Another 30% said they would prefer to live under strict Islamic Sharia law rather than England's democratic system.
Now, one in four justifying terror may not be a majority, but it certainly isn't a "small fringe" either. HENCE...my "broad brush"!
    • 44% of Nigerian Muslims believe suicide bombing attacks are "often" or "sometimes" acceptable.
    • 14% of Muslims in France, Spain and Great Britain feel that suicide bombings against civilian targets can at least sometimes be justified to defend Islam.
    • Only Less than half (50%) of Jordan's Muslims believe terror attacks are never justified.
    • In Egypt, only 45% of Muslims say terror is never justified.
    • 77.2% of Palestinians supported the kidnapping, while 66.8% said they would back additional such attacks.
    • 60% of Palestinians also said they were in favor of firing Kassam rockets at Israeli towns and cities.

"Do you support Osama Bin-Laden?" A whopping 49.9% answered: yes. - (Source: Al-Jazeera MUST SEE ARAB T.V.) surveyed on the 5th anniversary of September 11, 2001

Forget the "broad brush"...I may need the Wagner Paint Spray Gun!

    • Among Muslims, 25% of Jordanians, 34% of Indonesians, 38% of Pakistanis and 61% of Nigerians all expressed confidence in the mass murderer who founded al-Qaida.
    • 80% of the Lebanese population said they supported Hizbullah.
The figures above, taken from a variety of nations, continents and contexts, all point in one very ominous direction. They demonstrate beyond a shadow of a doubt that the global jihadist movement enjoys a wide and broad base of support that extends far beyond just a minuscule number of supporters.

My "broad brush" assertions about islamic jihad is in fact VERY DESERVING

BTW...calling islamic jihadists "animals" is a good fit. We called the Nazis "animals" too during the 1930's leading up, and right through World War II and if the shoe fits, WEAR it!

The muslim community has ALLOWED this cancer of "true" islam to grow. Until "moderate or "not-muslim-enough-muslims" demonstrate through ACTION to rid and kill this cancer from within, the "broad-brush" is in fact very deserving and accurate.

Universal condenmation of all Muslims in not a matter of opinion. Dismissing it as simiply an opinion conveniently ignores the questions that such black and white thinking will inevidably prompt from the average reader. An opinion is a belief or conclusion held with confidence but not substantiated by positive knowledge or proof. Universal condemnation of a group should be backed up by more than an opinion and anecdotal eveidence(casual observations or indications rather than rigorous or scientific analysis). You call them "facts". Nothing could be further from the truth but they are definitely your opinions. And we should care why?

As Black-n-White as I can make it for you...and please prove where I am wrong:

Islam itself means "submission to their allah" which in the islamic context meant surrender to mohammed (no priase to him) as long as that murderous lustful fiend lived, and after his death, islam has meant that we non-muslims surrender to the muslims by accepting islam and along with islam all of us accept their murderous attitudes, their arabic language, their hirsute habits of growing beards, their dress code of wearing caps and turbans, long gowns and covering women in tent like Hijab, marry 4 ladies and have an endless number of kids, and use our heads for only one purpose - nodding it robotically while reciting that instruction manual of Hate and terror - the Koran!

We need to realize how effortlessly we are led up the garden path by the wily Muslims, to embrace and spout their bluff that “Islam is a religion of peace”...when their founding, their history, their Koran and their ACTIONS all prove otherwise.

Ask any educated muslim anywhere in the world, whether he upholds the UN Charter, the Constitution of the USA, UK, France, where he and his family has settled for generations, or he upholds the koran with all its blood-thirsty injunctions and listen to his answer. He will say, before the koran everything is null and void. Come on...we saw this during the cartoon vandalism all over Europe, Asia, and Africa for Pete's sake! Again, look at these animal's ACTIONS!

Nothing that is contrary to the koran's blood-thirsty injunctions is not acceptable for him, so we can conclude that a muslim can never in his heart of hearts be a member of a civilized society. He may pretend to be one, as Mohammed Atta pretended to be before he flew the airplanes into the Twin Towers, but within him the beast shall always be alive, waiting for the right chance to reveal himself.
For a muslim every personal friendship with non-muslims, oath of citizenship, loyalty to the armed forces, is all transitory and subservient to the koran. And he would cast off all oaths, promises in favor of the koran whenever he is in a position of power to do so.

We caution you that a "true" muslim is always a muslim first and last. Never take "true" muslims for your friends, never ever trust them, never make peace with them, and always strive for their destruction. A "true" muslim would always remain a beast inside his external polished demeanor and appearance. Given a chance he will slice your throat, if you do not accept islam. Any "true" muslim who refuses to do this would be deemed a traitor, a Murtad (Apostate) by other muslims and be done to death. So no "true" muslim will dare to step out of line.

Yes there could be many muslims who think in their heart of hearts that islam is indeed savage. But they will never say that openly. I would deem such muslims as "ex-muslims" or "Not-muslim-enough" or what many here in Coin Talk call, "moderate" muslims.

There are basically "true" muslims, ex-muslims and non-Muslims. There are really no such thing as "moderate muslims". A moderate muslim is like a lady being partially pregnant! This is fiction, either you are pregnant or you are not. So you are either a muslim (and a follower of that barbaric koran) or you are an ex- Muslim. You cannot be both a muslim and civilized, you cannot be a Muslim and moderate. This is a contradiction in terms. You are either civilized moderate or you are a "true" muslim.

    Make your choice.

Modifying the age-old adage “He who lives by the sword shall die by the sword.” We can say that “Islam which was born by the sword shall die by the sword”

As it was a death threat that made people into muslims and kept them as muslims, the only way these scum can be shaken out of their adherence to the savagery called islam is a death threat.

Not individual death threats as "true" muslims hurl today at Hirsi and Salman, but a death threat of extermination through a nuclear holocaust of the entire muslim population across the globe!

  13. Moen1305

The post above proves that your statements are nothing more than your opinion. How does one go about proving an opinion is wrong or right? Using words like "facts", and "proof" in your statements lend your opinions much more weight than they deserve. If you can't figure out why anyone wouldn't just disregard your opinions outright from the explanation I have already written, the fault lies with your thinking process and your inability to not understand issues that aren't black and white not my ability to prove you wrong or not.
But here it is again anyway...

I cited islamic history, I referenced the koran, I cited current day actions of "true" muslims and I also referenced a number of surverys and polls of what these "true" muslims want and wish for this world and you simply discount it.

It is not my opinions, it IS what it IS...you just need to open up your eyes and see this religion for what it REAL is.

    Radical: Behead Muslim soldiers

    Monday, February 5, 2007
    [IMG]
    Abu Izzadeen

Dramatic footage has emerged of an Islamic extremist calling for British Muslims who join the Army to be beheaded.

The film of Abu Izzadeen, speaking at a London mosque, came to light days after police foiled an alleged plot to behead a British Muslim soldier. In the video, shown on ITV news, 30-year-old Izzadeen apparently calls the British Government 'crusaders who come to kill and rape Muslims'.

He demands that any Muslim who joins the Army should be punished by having his head removed (per the koran). He then shouts: 'Kill him!' The footage was apparently shot two years ago at Regents Park Mosque on a mobile phone and posted on an underground extremist website.

In the clip, Izzadeen says: 'Whoever allies himself with the Kaffirs (nonbelievers) against the believers, he is one of them. 'So those so-called enemies to Allah who join the British Government – 'cos remember the British Government, my dear Muslim brothers, are crusaders – crusaders come to kill and rape Muslims – whoever joins them is a mortal Kaffir.

And his only hukum (punishment) is for his head to be removed.'

    Town stands by its Norms

Call for Quebec-wide rules. Herouxville "took a decision and the planet is surprised. All we're doing is saying: This is who we are"

"What we did seems to have pulverized the planet," says Andre Drouin, the Herouxville town councillor who set out rules for newcomers. Last night, council echoed his call for Quebec to adopt a similar set of norms.

    Published: Tuesday, February 06, 2007

"So did you ever hear of Herouxville before this?" asked Carole Casabin, who's tending bar at Pub 842, a convivial watering hole just down the main street from the town hall.

"No? I didn't think so. But a lot of people have heard of us now." And so they have. Little Herouxville, a village of 1,300 in Quebec's Mauricie region, has been in the news worldwide since its town council adopted a set of standards aimed at immigrants (primarily muslim), spelling out what is acceptable comportment in the municipality and what is not.

What grabbed the most attention is that the list includes a specific prohibition against stoning women in public and burning them alive and an interdiction against face covering, except at Halloween - measures clearly aimed at Muslims, even though the town is almost entirely old-stock Quebec francophone and there isn't a single Muslim resident.

Andre Drouin, the town councillor who instigated the measure, raised the ante on the weekend when he appeared on a popular Quebec TV talk show and called on the provincial government to declare a state of emergency to protect Quebec culture from distortion by foreign pressures. The Herouxville initiative has elicited considerable support, but has also exposed the town to ridicule from others.

Yesterday, Premier Jean Charest, reacting to Drouin's latest sortie, said the furor has gone too far and is provoking dangerous excesses in the current debate in the province over what accommodations for immigrants are reasonable in Quebec society.

Drouin, however, was unrepentant at a council meeting last night, where the council unanimously stood by the initiative and called on Charest to take action on setting rules for immigrants that would apply to the whole province.

"It's what the people want," Drouin said.

"There are 95 per cent of people in Quebec who want this. Now it's up to him to act."

Drouin said he has received hundreds of supportive phone calls from residents and more than 5,000 emails from all over. He insisted Herouxville is not an isolated case.

"It's a world problem". [Damn right Islam is a world problem!]

"What we did seems to have pulverized the planet. We took a decision and the planet is surprised. All we're doing is standing up and saying this is who we are."

The Muslim Council of Canada and the Muslim Forum of Canada have threatened to lodge a formal complaint with the provincial human rights commission that the Herouxville measures are in violation of the Canadian Charter of Rights. [Too freakin' bad...if these people don't like it, they should LEAVE]

But the happy hour crowd at Pub 842 is enthusiastically in favour of the initiative, and revelling in the town's newfound notoriety. The bar was buzzing yesterday with talk about the publicity it has generated and about who was on what TV network. Yves Trudel, who runs a bed and breakfast in the town, says the rules laid down by the council are a preventive measure that others, notably Montreal, should consider.

"For them, it's probably too late to adopt a code of behaviour because things have gone too far. Here, we're saying this is the way it is and you respect it. This is our home, we're at home here and this is the way we do things here.

Democrats Invite Radical Muslim to Speak
    February 05, 2007 01:00 PM EST

Unbelievably, the Democrats invited a radical Muslim Imam to give an invocation at their Democratic National Committee Winter Meeting today. His name is Husham al-Husainy and he is Imam of the Karbalaa Islamic Foundation in Dearborn, Michigan (a Shi'ite sect).

    During this "prayer", al-Husainy said:
We thank you, god to send us your messages through our father Abraham, and Jesus and Mohammed, through you, god, we unite, so guide us to the right spot we wish for peace, equality and help us to stop the war and violence, and oppression and occupation [from the United States].
At first thought and to the western mind, that almost sounds benign. After all, didn't he invoke Jesus and Abraham there? However, as in Islam " all of these (Jesus, Mohammed, and Abraham) were prophets who taught Islam, and that the followers of Moses and Jesus corrupted their teachings to create Judaism and Christianity. So what seems to be a gesture of ecumenical generosity is actually a declaration of religious imperialism and the delegitimization of other religions." Spencer goes on to say:
Also, imagine if a Christian priest or minister had prayed at a DNC meeting that those attending be guided away from the path of those doomed by God. In this, in any case, the Imam is echoing the Fatiha, the first sura of the Qur'an and most common prayer of Islam. It asks Allah: "Show us the straight path, the path of those whom Thou hast favoured; not the (path) of those who earn Thine anger nor of those who go astray." The traditional Islamic understanding of this is that the "straight path" is Islam
Leave it to Democrats to allow what they would term "hate speech" were it a Christian utilizing similarly inspired rhetoric to basically denounce other religions.

This isn't the only questionable thing about al-Husainy, though. He has a long history of Islamic radical activities in this country.

Last year, al-Husainy was a principle organizer and speaker at a rally in Dearborn of 3,000 Hezbullah supporters who marched carry anti-Jew signs and signs equating Americans and Jews to Nazis. During one of his speeches he called Jews and Americans "diseased.
It must be noted that the US counts Hezbullah as a terrorist organization.

At that same event he hosted a visit of Rabbi Dovid Weiss, the Rabbi that participated in the anti-Jewish Holocaust denial conference sponsored by one of America's chief enemies, Iran's president Mahmoud Ahmadinejad.

He also was a leader of several 2004 anti-American rallies in support of Iraqi insurgents as well as past rallies in support of Hamas and Yassir Arafat. al-Husainy has also voiced direct and open support of Iraq militant Moqtada al-Sadr, and Iranian anti-American cleric Khomeini.

In a 2004 interview he was pleased to note that American soldiers in Iraq were "running away or committing suicide or getting psychological treatment." And he went on to attack Jews in a wild-eyed conspiracy rant.
Saddam . . . he handed Iraq to the coalition. I believe he is an agent of America. . . . Saddam created a bunch of gangs who have no faith . . . . We also think some outsiders, with some Iraqis, and, by the way, I don't want to exclude the Zionists. I think some extremists from the Mossad came in and took a chance to have some revenge, because we don't know who killed [Imam Mohammed Bakr] Al-Hakim or Sergio Vieira De Mello, the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights.
This is no man of God, but a radical cleric who vocally supports America's enemies and regularly attacks America and Jews.

And this is the man that the Democrats have asked to lead a "prayer" at their meeting?

It just goes to show once again that Democrats are weak on defense, anti-Jewish and woefully accepting of radical attacks on their own country. Democrats prove that they would willingly and in the name of "multiculturalism" lead the entire country right into the hands of those who would destroy us.

Here is a little bit of information based upon the figures that were generated from the last posting of such information about Washington D.C. They are old figures but still valid.

If you consider that there has been an average of 160,000 troops in the Iraq theatre of operations during the last 22 months, and a total of 2,112 deaths, that gives a firearm death rate of 60 per 100,000 soldiers.

The firearm death rate in Washington D.C. is 80.6 per 100,000 for the same period.

That means that you are about 25% more likely to be shot and killed in the U.S. Capitol, which has the strictest gun control laws in the nation, than you are in Iraq.

Conclusion: The U.S. should pull out of Washington and leave it for the Democrats and their Muslim Imen.

    Europe's Final Appeasement
(like many here at Coin Talk)

    By Paul Sheehan - February 5, 2007

Last September Robert Redeker, a French high-school philosophy teacher and author of several scholarly books, published an opinion piece in Le Figaro entitled "What should the free world do in the face of Islamist intimidation?"

His piece concluded that while Judaism and Christianity are religions whose rites reject and delegitimise violence. He writes that:

Islam is a religion that, in its own sacred text, as well as in its everyday rites, exalts violence and hatred. [couldn't said it better myself]

The article was posted on the internet, translated into Arabic, and widely distributed. Within a day, it was being condemned on Al-Jazeera TV and the offending issue of Le Figaro was banned in Egypt and Tunisia. Redeker received a large number of threatening emails. He was condemned to death on one Muslim site, which posted his address and a photograph of his home.

Redeker and his family went into hiding. Five months later they are still living in secrecy. Christian Delacampagne, writing in the latest issue of Commentary magazine, describes how the French reacted: "The communist mayor of Redeker's town condemned him, the headmaster of his school complained that he had included his affiliation at the end of the article, France's two largest teachers' unions, both socialist, issued statements saying they did not share Redeker's convictions. The leading leftist human-rights organisations denounced his irresponsible declarations and putrid ideas. The French Education Minister, Gilles de Robien, criticised Redeker.

"The editorial board of Le Monde, France's newspaper of record, characterised Redeker's piece as excessive, misleading and insulting. It called his remarks about Muhammad a blasphemy. To judge from this response, large sectors of the French intellectual and political establishment have carved out an exception to the hard-won tradition of open discussion: when it comes to Islam, as opposed to Christianity or Judaism, freedom of speech must respect definite limits.

"How did France (and the rest of Europe) reach this point?"

The last time France was faced with a large-scale threat from something similar - fascism - it reacted with denial, defeat and accommodation. Parallels are drawn by an American writer living in Europe, Bruce Bawer, whose book While Europe Slept describes rapidly growing Muslim enclaves across Western Europe in which women are oppressed, homosexuals are persecuted, infidels are threatened, Jews are demonised, "honour" killings are frequent, forced marriages are routine, and freedom of speech and religion are repudiated. European political and media establishments turn a blind eye to this in the name of an illusory multicultural harmony.

"Europe's media, when confronted with events or statements that vividly illuminate the goals of Muslim leaders and agitators, either don't report on them or edit out key facts," Bawer wrote recently on his website.

"Few media accounts of the 2005 Paris riots, for example, mentioned participants' cries of 'Allahu Akbar'. A 2006 [London] Telegraph poll found that 40% of British Muslims want Britain to become a sharia state, yet politicians still respond to every new riot, rape, honour killing or foiled terrorist plot by reassuring the public that the overwhelming majority of European Muslims are law-abiding, peace-loving supporters of democracy."

It's a bleak view, but Western Europe's 15 million Muslims today will be 30 million in 10 years. A similar argument is made in another book, Infidel, published last week by a former Dutch member of parliament and former Muslim, Ayaan Hirsi Ali, who is fluent in Arabic and Somali, has lived in Saudi Arabia, and worked for 10 years as a translator with the Muslims of Holland. Since criticising Islam and the oppression of Muslim women, she has been subject to so many threats and murder attempts she now lives in the US.
In an interview last week I asked her why there was such censorship, denial and silence from so many European liberals in the face of so many attacks on their culture.

"There is a combination of imperial guilt, and the civil rights movement," she said. "It created an attitude that all cultures are equal, that Western culture is not superior, that Christianity is not superior. This is especially so in the intellectual elite, the media, the education systems, in politics. But for the intellectual elite this belief is only theoretical.

"It is the working-class communities who were the first to experience the realities of immigration and cultural differences. When there were the first protests in these communities about problems with immigration, and about problems with how immigrant women were being treated, the elite immediately turned on them by calling them 'racists'.

"Instead of facing up to this new face of misogyny, the elites pretended it was because of discrimination. The immigrants became the new working class. The proletariat was reinvented …

"Holland's multiculturalism has deprived many Muslim women and children of their rights. It is tolerance for the sake of consensus, but the consensus is empty. Many Muslims never learn Dutch and reject Dutch values of tolerance and personal liberty. I read rants about Islamophobia, but none of this pseudo-intellectualising had anything to do with reality.

"Until I came on the scene, no one wanted to say that the criminal behaviour of so many young Muslim men had anything to do with culture. There is such a resistance to quantifying, to statistics, because everybody knows where the statistics will lead. And if you publish that Muslims commit most violent crimes, there will be violence from the Muslims, and they will be supported by the Social Democrats, the Greens and the Socialist Party, which will explain away this behaviour as 'poverty'."

Faced with the rising tide of bomb attacks, plots, threats, demands and belligerent victimology from a violent, ignorant and sexually repressive subculture, the centre of European civilisation appears to be doing exactly what it did the last time blackshirts were on the march in Europe - appeasing, denying and capitulating.

That means that you are about 25% more likely to be shot and killed in the U.S. Capitol, which has the strictest gun control laws in the nation, than you are in Iraq.

Conclusion: The U.S. should pull out of Washington and leave it for the Democrats and their Muslim Imen.

    Excellent point OldDan!
