I haven't heard anybody here say how great the republicans are. Most republicans I know are pissed off and disgruntled with the party. They deserve no praise. The party's a complete failure. Their hopes, the future is riding on the likes of some unknown Jindal guy and Sarah Palin? Gimme a break! They're lost for the foreseeable future. Limbaugh doesn't even praise the party anymore!! lol

On that note, the democrats don't deserve any praise either! But, OH, oh no no no! We aren't allowed to say that without being attacked and being called 'Bushies'. Because that is the only defense. You never take a step back and actually look at what you are defending.

One of the more idiotic remarks I've read in a long time and I'm certainly not a Republican.
Views like this will certainly help us solve our internal problems let alone bring about world peace.

Stu Joe, I am not trolling, and please do not interpret it that way. I was trying to make my beliefs heard. Communism is a great thing (for the most part) and I think it would be ecxcellent for our country to adopt that way of life. I also do think Obama is the best step in the right direction that this country has ever had. But let me say this, the only reason I stay here is, as stated earlier, to pursue my career in marine biology. Thanks. I do not mean to offend anyone with my beliefs, and it is not trolling.

Obviously, I don't agree with your positions re communism but, fair enough on the trolling appearance. Some of the 'flowery', I guess I would say, language posts came across to me that way as a little disingenuous or a bit insincere.

Just like Obama, you are supporting something you have no concept of at all. You don't understand it at all. So to me, you THINK you support that system because you THINK you have an understanding of it but you really have no idea.

As stated in the article I posted. People like to own stuff. People like to be individuals. Most want to try to improve themselves and become wealthier, otherwise nobody would be going to college. People want religious freedom. They want freedom in general.

By saying you support communism, you oppose ALL of that.

 

I'm catching the tail end here but consider every where Communism has been tried. Did it work for the Soviets? Nope. What about the Chinese? Not exactly a country anyone would want to emulate. And Cuba? The whole country is in a state of decay.
Communism doesn't take into account free will, initiative, competitiveness or motivation. It rewards conformity and mediocrity.

 

I agree 100%. The Obama campaign followed a basic precep that the Communist leaders discovered- People will fall for the idealism and the cult of personality, especially when you pound on class envy & class warfare.

Actually not at all, Barack Obama would have won weather he was negro or Caucasian. This country needs change. It's not the cult, nor anything else related to that for the matter. I believe Barack Obama was voted president because, he does not want war, he wants more money for the working class people, and less for corporations, and perhaps people appreciate communism (I hope so anyway). This may not be how you see it, but it is as it is.

Exactly- he convinced you & lot of other people that he could/would do the things you mentioned...he preyed on your fears and made corporations into the boogeyman. You fell for it! Don't feel bad, many people did. And more money for the working class? Of course people will fall all over themselves at the promise of more money, but where is it coming from? At what price? What if you are tabbed to be one of the givers of your personal wealth rather than one of the recipients?

Now back to limiting your rights. Well, you have been posting your opinions and that's fine. Therefore how is anyone limiting your rights?

Okay that said here's the real gist Isaiah. You have a tendency to contradict yourself when anyone questions you.
There are some sharp people here and believe me we don't all get along that well. We pick everything apart basically and utilize it. PRWE can be a vicious place to hang around. Some can take it and some can't.

If you're going to make a comment on communism for example be ready to really back it up man. As I've said it's GREAT - in theory. I might add that Communism tends to have a great deal of Atheism tied in with it.

So, as an example, you've stated you're not to crazy about Atheism but seem to have a leaning toward Communism. Which one is it?

Or should we start a new strain? Christian Communism? Then what form of Christianity?

World peace would indeed be great Isaiah. I doubt many would disagree with that. Unfortunately reality just keeps kicking in.
