It’s completely untrue that the bailouts encourage dependency. If the only bailouts we fund are those which are needed to save all competitors across an industry, there is clear disincentive against being willfully negligent, as that negligence would weaken only one's own company, and would leave that company unprotected.

Most of America’s largest corporations did not get government assistance and, during an event which affects all manner of victims, from individuals to corporations, are finding ways to keep their people gainfully employed during the COVID crisis . . .

As for not paying their share of taxes, they pay their employees, their vendors, and their investors, all of whom pay the taxes.

You are grasping to support an unsupportable argument.

I'll admit, I exaggerated it in my head and let that get the best of me. Cool website you linked, I appreciate the resource.

Though I don't think paying employees is a good reason to not pay taxes on business transactions. Also, I know this isn't every company paying nothing, but they pay a very little share compared to small business.

Companies pay taxes on profits. If they decide to pay higher dividends and or bonuses at year end, the taxes on those amounts get paid by their investors and or employees instead. That is the law, and it is to avoid unconstitutional double-taxation.
