    I don't like the concept of "hate crimes" at all. Remember the discussion in the "On Topic" forum? Equal rights, equal protection under the Constitution.

    If it's a crime, it's a crime.

    Punish the perpetrator.

    You punish these people for what they did ... not for what they were thinking when they did it.
