Actually, I can see it quite differently. You have a reindeer society that values everyone being the same to the extent that they drive Rudolf, with his useful ability that the rest of the herd does not posses, into exile. Conform or die! Only when Santa steps in and sees a value to Rudolf's ability do things change. Then Rudolf is promoted above his peers for his ability and rewarded with the lead spot on the sleigh team. If you aren't the lead dog, the scenery never changes. Not only does Rudolf become famous for his ability that the rest of the herd does not posses...but I bet he got extra kibble that night too.
Not only was he "white", but the Santa folklore is based on a Christian saint (Nicholas). The very concept of an old, white, Christian male giving things away free must have the communists and socialists in a frenzy! It's ironic that they don't seem to have a problem with Santa Claus but, in reality, he's based on a very religious and generous Christian. Ignorant atheists. I never was curious enough to take a look under the carriage, but I'm pretty sure Santa's running lights are illegal in some states and communities.
