What is the status of your gift shopping? Me, I've made a start but still have a couple of things to get for the wife. She on the other hand... ALL DONE B
*groan* Did you have to remind me? All seriousness aside, I've shopped almost exclusively online for years, and it's pretty much painless, unless you're my credit cards. Not done yet, because I snipe at Ebay until the last possible day.
Well, here's my Christmas this year: 1. My mother passed away in 2003, so there's nothing to buy for her. 2. My father wants NOTHING (and he's too old to enjoy anything anyway). 3. One brother "hates Christmas", so he's not getting anything from me. 4. Another brother is so rich, I couldn't buy him anything he doesn't already have. 5. My nieces and nephews are raised as Jehovah's Witnesses, so they don't believe in the whole gift-giving thing - so they're not getting anything. 6. I have no children, so nothing to buy there... 7. I had to have my dog euthanized last month, so again.... nothing to buy there (I always bought him something). 8. I bought my best friend and his wife some salsa that they enjoy and some imported Mexican tortilla chips... 9. No significant other in my life right now, so nothing to buy... So, I'm done Christmas shopping... Actually, I may go to the Juvenile Shelter and see if they would like some toys... If you don't have anyone to buy presents for, it just doesn't quite seem like Christmas... AND BEFORE YOU ASK: No, I'm not buying anything for anyone here!! I'm saving up my $$$ for a nice 16-D Mercury!
I'm heading to Frankenmuth, MI in the morning for 3 days of hectic shopping and eating. Hopefully I will put a huge dent in the "list" and take the pressure off the next few weeks. That is if the money and the sanity holds out.
Almost done but my wife's birthday is the day after and she keeps seeing new things that interest her.
OK, Spider, how about we trade gifts? I'll give you a raw G-4 16-D Mercury and you give me a PCGS AU-58 16-D Mercury. Hey, it's not the gift, it's the spirit of giving, right??? :kewl:
