Man, I just caught part of the RNC debate. GAG! That party really should be so damned embarrassed to sport that group of turds. Bachmann? Are they serious? That woman becomes POTUS, I'm never associating with the simpletons of society ever again. I thought Palin was bad. Start with Bush and go down from there I guess. Sheesh...and PU!

Yep, one of these will likely be the next president. It won't be Obama, that's for certain.

So far I can stomach Bachman, Cain and Santorum. I do not have cable and tried to stream it but the CNN site wanted to do an add on so I missed it. I read Bachman didn't show too well, and the Neuter stood up for Cain......I'll read more on it tommorow.

Doubt that seriously. They'll need to do a lot of turd polishing to make that group even look somewhat like turds. The public is pretty stupid though, so anything's possible theoretically. Haven't seen such a more pathetic group of blowhards since the last RNC debate. Beyond horrible.

Well, the public DID elect Obama in '08 so I'd agree with your assessment to some degree. It will help if intellectuals vote this time instead of just the "Rock the Vote" MTV crowd.

... or fewer people like Steve Harvey who voted for Obama "simply because he's African-American" (start about 3:35):

Frankly any vote counter to a republican vote is constructive.

Funny, no matter which one of these clowns (sorry Lehigh for stealing your favorite word) you put up against Obama in a poll, they all lose by double digits. But you can dream I suppose.

...and look what it's gotten us...worse economic conditions & more debt than every other President in history combined.

Don't get overconfident there Dr PHD, right now the support is diluted among a field of candidates. Once the party is squarely behind one candidate (and everyone on that stage last night was head & shoulders above BO) & BO's performance is spotlighted the race won't even be close.

The polls I am referring to are head-to-head with the individual candidates so the "diluting" is compensated for. Everyone on stage last night is the same field that has many, many people on the Right begging people like Chris Christy and Rick Perry to get into the race. With Republicans losing long held seats across the country and the way they have pi$$ed off the seniors with their Medicare coupon ideas and now talking about the same nonsense with Social Security, I like Obama's chances in 2012. The country is finally waking up to the fact that the only people the Republicans are looking out for are their wealthy donors. Their only economy solution is to give wealthy people even more money. And if you are a woman, gay, poor, a minority, or a senior, you need to be targeted because you are doing so well after the last Republican Administration. Good Luck!

Facts, again, Mr phd. I realize you are ignoring me, but ABC poll now shows Romney ahead of Obama 49% to 46% - head to head. ABC News Poll: Romney Pulls Even Against Obama in Head-to-Head Match-Up - ABC News

Folks take any Presidential opinion poll with a pinch of salt at this moment in time, it gets interesting when the two front runners actualy go head to head until then it is pure speculation Romney could be 20 points clear and all it would take to wipe that out is one little scandle, same goes for any nominee these numbers are simply numbers no more no less
The only ones that count at the moment are those amongst the Republican candidates and the same will hold true when the Democrats decide if there will be a challenger to President Obama

In general, there is a lot of truth there. However, in this case I find 2 thing rather interesting. First, is simply that any Rep is in front of Obama at this stage. I think that goes a long way to showing just how bad shape BO is in. Secondly, after Mr. phd stated that "they all lose by double digits" and this poll shows that not only don't they all lose, but Romney is ahead, it show just how far his views are really not based in reality.

No problem, they are clowns, all of them. However, you still don't understand what this election will be about. If the economy, including unemployment, does not improve drastically over the next 15 months, the Presidential election will be a referendum on Obama and it won't matter one bit who the Republican candidate is. And your dream of a second term will quickly become a nightmare.
