May I remind you that the Ayers story is considered bunk by all but the most extreme wingnuts. You are on the outer fringe of the outer firnge.

I disagree...many people, including Obama's primary opponents, thought it was an improtant issue!!

Ayers was a family friend and Wright was a spiritual adviser. Those are facts according to primary people involved...not rumors from anonymous sources or adversaries. Do they have a bearing on who Obama is and more importantly how he will govern this nation? That remains to be seen mpw but to casually and totally dismiss having friends and advisers like that is foolish, blind devotion bordering on religious fervor.

More challenges for John McCain: Likely voters overwhelmingly reject his effort to make an issue of Barack Obama's association with 1960s radical William Ayers. Fallout continues from McCain's pick of Sarah Palin for vice president, with 52 percent saying it weakens their confidence in his judgment. And on optimism, it's Obama by 2-1.

Skepticism about the Ayers issue was one of the factors cited by Colin Powell in his endorsement of Obama yesterday, and in the latest ABC News/Washington Post poll, likely voters broadly agree: 60 percent say Obama's relationship with Ayers is not a legitimate issue in the presidential campaign; 37 percent say it is.

"37% say it is" that 37% are extreme wingnuts.

If the Huffypost freely admits that over 1/3 of the country are concerned, what is the real number? 50%? 75%?

    Washington Post said it.
    This same Washington Post:
"In November 2007, the Washington Post was criticized by independent journalist Robert Parry for reporting on anti-Obama chain e-mails "

He didnt kill anyone himself. He was making bombs when one went off and killed a fellow radical. So in the process of commiting a crime and someone dies; its homicide. Dont any of you Ayers haters know this? I mean, dang, you hate a guy and you dont even know why?

Are you serious? It's okay to bomb government offices as long as no one gets killed? Why do you think he set bombs? If he just wanted to disrupt activities or make a statement he could have used spray paint or a stink bomb.
So now the admitted terrorist is an inept admitted terrorist? Should fit right in with the rest of Obama's loser inner circle.

Yes its okay to bomb government office buildings. Its right there in the Constituion. David, I didnt bring charges against the guy. Why are you asking me? Ask those inept prosecutors. And stop writing terrorist. He wasnt charged with ''terrorism''(thats a relatively new crime and not used in the late 60s). Besides, it make you look like a follower of trends, instead of a leader.

Why was he not tried and convicted? what did the prosecution do wrong? This is a seriouse question, if he made bombs then he should do time for it.

I don't know what they botched but I do know that Ayers HAS ADMITTED TO CRIMES, but despite HIS OWN ADMISSIONS, in the eyes of the law, Danr, and Craig, Ayers is just as good of an upstanding citizen as the rest of us, and he should be a college professor teaching our youth.

When you admit that YOU are the leader of an organization that builds bombs, plants bombs, sets off bombs which destroy property and oh by the way injure and kill people, you are guilty if not just for the fact of *conspiring*. To come here and say he is innocent because he couldn't be convicted over some technicality at some time, is an absolutely ignorant statement for anyone to make.

As I said before, I just heard a former FBI informant say that Ayers told him how to make the bombs and where to target and that "sometimes innocent people have to die for a cause." Anybody who would stick up for this guy is a fool, even if they just want to prove some idiotic point about the law.

Hey Danr, I suppose Al Capone was actually a good guy too? I mean, in the end, all they could pin on him was tax evasion. When the Valentine's day massacre happened, he was in Florida. He was never convicted for killing anybody so, he was a good guy.

I can't believe I'm even wasting my time in this thread anymore.

I'm no defending him you retards. I said he was guilty you retards. I was just stating that he was never convicted you retards. I read this post for days and none of you retards gave a reason for his arrest. I mention it and you retards write that I am defending him. Oh and yea I was serious about it ok to bomb government buildings. It on the same page in the constituion as the one that lets retards write thier retarded posts. Oh and Vess and David, if we want your opinions, we'll just watch 'The O'Reilly Factor''. Two peas in a retarded pod.

So, if I understand you correctly, you might think we are "retards"?

And the reason he got arrested was for SETTING BOMBS. How did you miss that fact given the nature of the thread??

Lastly, you believe settings bombs is a 1st Amendment Right? Just checking.
