Now honestly I haven't seen this but I will as it's on line for all to see. Last I checked PBS was a pretty reputable outfit. This ain't no FOX. I urge people to watch it then formulate opinions. I take it you dont like FOX...... Flame me, but it is the best source of news from a center opinion. When your pounded with Left news for 40 years, and a center comes along, it is easy to call it Right. There is no better source of ACCURATE news, from BOTH sides than Fox. It just takes getting used to hearing news that does not slant everything to the Left, thats all. I watch Glen Beck on the Clinton News Network occasionally, now there's some Right slant, the ONLY righty allowed on that station, 2 hours out of 24.
I never watched Fox cable news before since I don't get cable but one morning I was in a waiting room waiting to get a blood draw and I happen to catch Fox cable news network. The topic was how a Democrat in the White House in 2008 would affect the economy. The 4 Conservative panelists, all agreed with each other it would be a devastating turn of events if a Democrat won in 2008 because they would proceed to wreck the economy. Whether you believe them or not, "4 Conservative panelists"??? Where exactly is the balanced center opinion in that group? You can tune into any NPR program and they will inevitably present one person from the Left and one person from the Right on just about any issue. The only difference is that the guy/gal on the Right is forced to behave in a civil manner and can't just scream people down. If holding Right wing pundits to a standard of civil discourse is biased, I'll accept the bias. Fox is a joke and losing the battle of the airwaves due to it's extreme biases. The only reason Conservatives call the media Liberal is because real news relies on facts and proof, not just faith and innuendo. The less intelligent you are, the easier you are to manipulate and Fox counts on those easy to manipulate as an audience base.
Moen, by your own admission you've seen Fox once, and from that you proceed to make blanket statements about Fox's biases and intentions. I watch Fox and listen to NPR on a daily basis. So I'm much more qualified to comment on bias, or lack thereof, than you are. Although Fox's opinion programs and opinion segments admittedly lean to the right (and that's what attracts conservatives like me), Fox's reporting tends to be much less biased than NPR's. And even when Fox's reporting is biased, they're open about it. Again, unlike NPR. I'm not saying that because it's perceived as conservative Fox is without flaws (as it's not) or that NPR is totally flawed (as it's not) because it's perceived as liberal, I'm just saying that the bias is there, whether you like it or not. Frankly, I have more respect for those who admit bias (which, to be fair, you do), than for those who hide behind or deny their biases.
Come on guy's how many news agencies dont have a bias one way or the other? all are influenced by the owner/editor/political commentator/reporter's own bias in exactly the same way all our comments are biased (except of course for mine as I cant make my mind up )
You can't really be serious. At the time I saw Fox I didn't even realize I was watching it until the Conservative slant hit me so hard I had to actually start looking for the broadcast logo because I couldn't belive how stupid the program was. I guess it is only a slant if you disagree with the message, right?
Hey guys, Gonna let you in on a little secret. I don't like Fox. Used to watch the local version every morning for the weather and sports but of course caught other strories as well. Wnat turned me off was how many stories DID NOT get touched upon. Wanna know another secret. It ain't just Fox. They all work for people with political views which influences reporting. I don't think this is a big secret to anyone here is it? My wife and I spend more time watching CSpan these days. We also do our own research, as well as forums and chat lines. Wife is into it big time. Another silly source we utilize is Snopes. We weed the crap out as we go - whether or not it's crap we agree with. Do any of you get emails from friends that have been forwarded a gazillion times? I do. Got one yesterday. Looked it up on Snopes and it's a new line of BS. It had a sign up list and over 900 had already taken the bait. Think ANY of those people took the time to do a litle digging? Of course not. Now, whether or not we all agree here, and we don't, we should all at least have the sense to look into BS before we go passing it on as truth. The internet is a very powerful tool and it is helping to tear this country apart. Let's agree to disagree but do it wisely. I respect the opinions of those that don't agree with me as long as I know there's some thought process behind it.

There is just one angry miserable person who cannot for the life if him even say anthing positive about HIS OWN side, to expect him to understand anything but anger is a waste of time. FOX leads the ratings of all the others COMBINED, and has more two sided programming than any of the cable news outlets. Mr Moen just likes to do "drive by's" and dodges anything that presents a challange to him. Hate, hate and more hate. It is blinding him. Incapable of independant thought, and a severe lack of "thinking", it is just another negative post from a negative person saying negative things he knows nothing about. The Beatle's song " Nowhere Man" comes to mind everytime I see his rants. Just a quick point here guy's there is no call for Name Calling just because someone has a different Perspective on things to you. His take can be just as right to him as yours appears to you.

Not true at all! There are facts and there are lies. MOEN made a false statement and I refuted it with facts. FNC IS NOT losing the battle of the airwaves. Why all the Political Correctness? Why does everyones statements have to be right as long as they believe in them? That is just plain idiotic! What good is a moderator when they aren't even moderating. I see the main problem we have here is understanding the meaning of ones views on issues and the FACTS of issues! If you view FNC as losing the battle of the airwaves you are wrong, plain and simple. It isn't a view anymore when that statement is false! FNC is the number one cable news outlet right now no matter what your views are on them!
